The original Salvation Army magazine began in the 1800's, and was named 'The Little Soldier'.
The motto of The Little Soldier,
"Still I'm crying, give to me, Living, dying none but Thee; Now and ever live in me, Let me live by living Thee"
I thought to draw Patch ringing a bell. For those who don't know, The Salvation Army has a 'Red Kettle' campaign, in which volunteers will ring a bell beside a large kettle, into which passers-by may drop monetary donations (usually coins) that benefit The Salvation Army's charity organizations.
