Yup! I finally have a name for these guys! Also a little extra backstory!
When the USS Roosevelt violated the Prime Directive, the Kinoon were propelled from an iron age tribal society into a spacefaring civilization. There was also a split in Kinoon society. Some tribes joined the Federation and formed the Rooseveltian Confederacy, taking the name of the vessel that changed their society for the better. The more Xenophobic tribes were forced to the Neighboring D'Triv System where they formed the D'Trivian Confederation.
Technically, the D'Triv are at war with the Federation. The conflict often goes forgotten by most the Federation as it only really effects the Kinoon. While some members of the Roosevelts have asked for assistance, the Kinoon would rather keep the conflict to just themselves. Truth be told, the conflict has largely died between the two factions. The Roosevelts and the D'Triv keep to themselves and conflict is mostly old feuds between certain tribes and clans.
