If this picture doesn't cause the ponyverse to collapse on itself that will be a good thing.
A while ago there was a theme on EqD (I think) of ponies playing with pony toys. I don't think everypony is into ponies. Someponies might be into My Little People™. I may draw more MLP figures of known ponies.
Once I hit on the idea of Lyra making a custom Sibsy figure for Wildfire (Sibsy's canon ponysona) I just had to draw it. This'll be posted on my dA before long. You get it first here!
Are gnomes based on real critters? It would be a similar situation. Or humans could be beings who have had contact in the past, corresponding to G1. They really don't fit into the G4 world except as outsiders.

Gnomes are based on humans but much smaller just like faeries are small humans with insct type wings. If they have had contact in the past, then yeah, I can see this bit of cuteness happening in G1. Perhaps they had contact during some kind of magical event that was out of control and for a brief time had interactions. BUT since no mention of us in G4, it's kind of hard to imagine where the ideas for these came from.

Minotaurs, of greek mythology, are human/bull-like creatures the head+ of a bull and the body of a man more or less. Fluttershy had an encounter with the minotaur, Iron Will in the episode "Putting Your Hoof Down" Still I wouldn't exactly call him a model for humans.
If this was from the earlier gen of ponies that had humans in them, I wouldn't have said a word and just had a good laugh but this art is based on the current 4th gen and humans haven't been seen.

I know. I considered calling them My Little Humans but People coincides with the initials MLP and I was basically thinking of the Fisher-Price Little People toys. When I was growing up they were basically wooden pegs with plastic heads on them. One of the 'people' was a dog. Later on they made fully molded plastic figures with feet. They use pretty much the same level of abstraction as the current generation of pony toys so I thought they made a good model for human toys in Equestria.
