The moment the space whale made it into Mobius' atmosphere, hundreds of smaller flying creatures flew from its body in a swarm, spreading across the entirety of the planet's surface, targeting cities all across the globe as their destinations. The creatures began their attack simultaneously, bombarding the buildings like they were fighter jets, and dropping even more creatures off on the surface so they could attack the native inhabitants that resided in them.
This didn't go unopposed, as many quickly took up the call to action. Experienced heroes from all over, headed into the fray the moment they realized what was going on, but discovering alien foes unlike anything they had fought prior.
