What it says on the tin. :3
The ferrule is the part the eraser attaches to. Most ferrules are made of metal or aluminum. WWII ferrules are made of plastic or cardboard/paper (metals were rationed during the war).
The 'eraser end' of a pencil is its 'tip', whether it has an eraser or not.
The writing end is called the 'point', whether sharpened or not.
The exposed wood caused by sharpening is called the 'collar'.
The 'core' is the lead as seen from the pencil's unsharpened point/tip.
