In the time that followed Skye's move to Roukan City, he kept to himself-head down with a silent voice. From the moment he was enrolled back into elementary, to his first year of middle school, Skye remained as the new kid from a town no one's ever heard of; the quiet kid who sits in the corner of every class and draws in a sketchbook; the white fox that's always wearing 'way too much' despite the warmer seasons.
The years of suffering in Vulpes (that sleepy town he was forced to call home), wouldn't be erased so easily, if at all. From Vulpes came his conditioning to hate the ghostly color of his coat, the weariness to talk to a soul even if his new home was decidedly less hostile. Those were all but permanent marks on him like a water-damaged canvas.
But even still, Skye was never really lonely through all of that. Even before Chase found him and brought vibrant color into his life. He had at least one friend who always kept him company wherever he went.
"Don't you, Don't you think that flower looks nice, Red? On you I mean. I, I think it looks really good on, on, on you." -Skye

This is a piece that embodies who Skye is, but this is also a tribute to a wonderful game, one that inspired me to create Skye and one that resonates with me on a level that not many other games do. I'll let you guess what game that is~
It's also kind of a character reveal in a way? Because Red is a friend who will always be at Skye's side, no matter what. You can interpret that how you will ;)
I remember that game, (I won’t name it to avoid giving it away. That would take the fun away.) It was a trip. Although I called a couple of the backstories.
