I was thinking that more as a joke. That Sonic might just make up an excuse like that. I mean when the multiverse open he could just say, "Clearly a new Evil Sonic found his way here, did this, and framed me! He's SO EVIL he want's to ruin our marriage!" Maybe even Manic and Sonia could start saying it was their own evil counterparts that broke mom's favorite vase or stole a cookie.
