This was a little experiment in pushing myself out of a rut. I really love the way i started to draw from mid 2008-2010. For some reason, I stopped doing that. I think it really boils down to the amount of spontanious drawings I do in a day. Back then I would OC a lot, it was a positive experience, very relaxed. I would sit down chat a little and just go crazy on that big white canvas, filling it up with whatever came to mind. By myself I would do the same thing, doing emotional peices and such. Like everytime I made art, i had this great feeling of relief afterwords. And my art got better each time...I could feel that. I want to have that feeling again. Tonight when I drew this, I felt A LOT like back then. I just started in the middle and worked clockwise around. But you'll notice that the bottom drawing and the drawing on the left stand out a lot from the others. They're fun, toony, they have direction to them. I started to feel a bit of joy again as I drew those, a lot like the expressions the characters themselves have. I hope to continue this trend. Not fumbling for anatomy and muscles but just getting that toony form out there!
