is one of the artists who realy inspires me and I look up to.I experimented a bit and made this background by hand on paper. Edited the color values and stuff digital to make it easy to use for digital artworks. The idea is to add chars into the background as needed. I think there are plenty of opportunitys for nice.. pictures.. Against the wall, laying on the stairs, bend over the fence, or stuff like this. I am sure Madlaine will like this place.
I was really surprised when I saw this WASN'T a Coyotek picture. You really captured their style amazingly well. Very detailed and... grungy and dirty.

This is pretty good Zaiks, the detail's nice and there's some nice flavour to it. Good logic with the puddles in the gutter and how they create a small system. But you still need to learn to balance out surface tension on the image. By that I mean there is too much similar brickwork, would be good if you broke it off with a different tile set - like hexagonal for example, or even make one of the walls smoother plaster with low-decal to creat some "breathing room" on the image :3 The scaling also needs some more thought to it, the railing seems to be quite short compared to the scale of the door.

Thank you master for the feedback. I hope you noticed the overdrawn coyotec spray, covered with my emblem XD
But I will take your advise and try to improve in the next picture. Thou I understand what you mean. I think digitaly removing some lines on the central plattform might improve the picture a bit.

This does look really good. I can definitely see the influence from Coyotek's work, in the alleyway setting and the detail, including the various bits of graffiti here and there, though I think you're well on your way to making such things your own as well. I like the raised numbers on the sign above the window, the spots of rust or corrosion on the hand rail and the little touches like the discarded tin can and the bottle lying hither and yon. I do think that Maddy will really like it here, and you're getting a lot better with your backgrounds!
