Hey guys! I decided to finally release Chronicles of Acorn to the public, you can check out the journal I made for more info, but come play the Sonic fan RPG that's been in the works since 2017! The build available is a very early alpha build, but it's playable and pretty fun if you like old school RPGs mixed with some new stuff! Plus it's Sonic! :D
It took years to come to this point and I don't know why we didn't do this sooner but heck with it! Better late than never. :) Come give the game and try and leave feedback, give ideas or just comment and support! If you want to see this project get new updates, please consider supporting me on patreon, as I'm a one woman developer and I need to pay bills and eat food! Buying new assets would be nifty too! There's a few spriters who worked on things over the years. :) Yeah, I want to add NPCs for folks who are interested in supporting the game. I need to find what the names of the spriters were but Pedrovin is the one who did the battle sprites, although his name is something else now.

Very surprised by the work on the character sprites. I just started, and was expecting bland, motionless battle sprites an attack "animation." It's what I came to expect from RPG maker games. So imagine my surprise when I saw Sally had a fully animated battle sprite. Quite a shock, and a very nice surprise.
I know that doesn't exactly mean the game's going to be great. There's still a chance it could be completely awful, but It's nice to see actual effort put into a game like this.
Kinda disappointed it won't be a lewd game, but maybe there could still be a bit of fan service? Some fun jokes, or maybe scenes in underwear?

wanted to do the art himself, of all the enemies and cutscenes, but he got lazy. :P
If the game is awful, it's awful. There's effort put into everything I had control over, and I want the game to be fun, is the main thing. If folks don't enjoy it they don't! But I'm hoping there are some people that do get some enjoyment from it.

I'll give this a try eventually, barring how complicated of game mechanics you're using. My main issue with RPG:s are needlessly complicated systems that make me lose interest fast and hard.
