DeviantArt was (is?) holding a dragon-drawing event. I decided to go ahead and follow it as an exercise in this near-lineless style I've been mucking around with recently.
Since I was going to be drawing a cruddy dragon very quickly, I decided to finally throw together an early concept for Lxsereth. What's that? You can't pronounce "Lxsereth"? Lucky for you she is also known as Lady Rindle. Either works.
I deviated (oh ho!) from the tutorial in a few regards.
• The butt was much too big, so I redid it. The body is still a misshapen lump but whatever. • I placed the ear differently on the head. (Most people don't even think dragons have ears, but...) • Instead of horns and spikes everywhere, I put leafy shapes. Lxsereth is a viridian dragon, she has foliage and is photosynthetic. • The wings are leafy too, and not raised. • After trying to draw legs for half an hour, I said screw it and put her in water instead. Viridian dragons like water. • I didn't shade anything. I don't think I've shaded a picture in like 3 years.
So there you go, have a dragon.
I'm not 100% sure what Lxsereth's "hair" (head foliage) will look like. This is just one idea. The wings will also most likely be refurbished in future images,
