Hello dreamers!!
Like three years ago I stopped watching this show, but for whatever goddamn reason I've decided to see it off for its final season. I'll be catching up from where I was somewhere in season 6. Don't worry, I've got that covered already. (EDIT: At time of publish I've made it to the season 6 finale already.)
A proper artist must use their art to improve something, possibly themselves. Good art teaches the artist as much as the viewer, if not more so, and if you give an artist a lemon, that artist should draw a lemonade (or at least a lemon) rather than bitch and whine about how sour the lemon is.
The best way for an artist to give anything a "second chance" is to draw it and pretend it's Nice. The artist will then naturally make it More Nice or change their mind on whether it was already Nice.
That is to say, I will probably hate the show much less if I draw Nice lemonade of it. (It helps that the raw visual designs of the characters is usually Nice [... usually] regardless of any of the show's other questionable qualities.)
I AM VERY TIRED FROM DRAWING ALL THESE JERKS. I was going to do a second version - this one is mostly faithful to the existing designs or characters, while the second one would redeco them as per Reverie Equestria, most notably Ocellus (lore conflict) and Sandbar (boring-ass design). RIGHT NOW I DON'T EVEN WANT TO THINK OF ANY OF THAT.
P.S. Ocellus is my New Ranger Wife. I can't even pronounce her damn name - I alternate between nicknaming her Othello or Ocelot. Waifu status and pronounce-knowingment may change once I actually get to the relevant episodes. Future "Revolver Ocellus" art is on the table that would be extremely Nice.
P.P.S. In Reverie Equestria there are seven Elements of Harmony, which means a Mane Seven instead of a Mane Six and a New Seven instead of a New Six. I have no illusions of being able to add a 7th ranger without everybody flipping out and rejecting them, but I will do it anyway because eat me.
