The day both boys looked forward to while training under their mentor Arturo, after spending the week days training in their individual skills, Saturday morning was sparring day, a chance for each boy to show off what they have learned and to get some actual combat experience in. Both Ion and Zephyr were fierce competitors and were not afraid of going all out on each other, usually meaning by the end of the day both were covered in bumps and bruises, luckily for them, Sunday was a day off so they could have some time to heal those wounds before training again, though the first Monday morning sessions were still ackey. Still this didn't bother them, they felt their bodies getting stronger week by week, a tradeoff they gladly accepted and the fighting was fun, a way to get out some frustrations and some friendly competition, they would make bets against each other, with the loser of the spar usually getting some form of punishment like extra chores during the week along with their training work or some sort of handicap during the next sparring day. But the other best part of the day was near the end when both of them could just be together, after being mostly separate all week, save for showering time after the training sessions, as each had their own room as not to distract each other, as some nightly mental training was needed, when the sparring session ended they could just be together without having to worry about anything else until Monday morning came. Relaxing together in the field or going into town on a small date, their relationship was blossoming, both took these few precious moments to heart and made sure to make every use of them
