Sunshine sat in his usual spot under that large tree in the Chao Garden, watching Ivory as they played with the other Chao. He smiles a bit when he takes notice of how gentle the other Chao were being with Ivory, as the little white Chao was still recovering from their injury. The hedgehog sighs happily and starts texting his husband, sending the other hedgehog photos he had taken of Ivory while they were playing, the text reads:
Sent To: Starlight
“Ivory is getting so much better, I think they might even be ready to evolve soon! I don’t think they’ll be able to fly again but that doesn’t seem to bother them much, they seem excited about seeing you again”

Later that night, all was quiet in the house as the hedgehog couple sleeps cuddled close together in their bed late at night. Ivory was wrapped up in a blanket as they lay in their own bed on the windowsill, a pale blue cocoon forming around them while they slept soundly. By the time the sun rose Ivory’s cocoon had faded, revealing that they had evolved to become a bright white Sonic Chao during the night. Sunshine stirs a bit in his sleep and slowly opens his eyes, yawning and smiling a bit as he sits up.
“Good morning Ivory” He says when he hears the Chao chirping happily on his lap, staying quiet so they don’t wake Starlight from his peaceful sleep under the covers beside Sunshine. The blue eyed hedgehog pets Ivory’s head, not quite awake enough to notice his little companion’s change in appearance.
“Wait, what the hell?! You evolved!” He gasps and his eyes go wide as he shakes off the remnants of sleep from his mind, scooping up Ivory to cuddle them.
“Look at you, I wonder where you got inspiration for your new look?” Sunshine smirks, glancing at his sleeping husband.
