A nasty Baaphomet was really bad at playing the flute, and slightly drunk, which made his bad music worse. Chris and his friends' poor ears couldn't handle it - except for one.
"Baaphomet!" A small, blue, sage of a cat stood up to the flying beast, "Please don't harm my friends."
The flying goat talked with his flute still in his mouth. And though it kept piping up between words, he still tried to say, "But we're destroying the world today! And it took so long for you all to get to me. Now I really wanna fight!"
The Blue Sage held their spellbook against their chest, "But I don't want to fight you..."
The fuzzy demon smiled, "I don't want to fight you either, Blue! That's why I'm only attacking them. That, or you must really like my music." He began playing his drunken flute more while Blue's friends suffered.
"But Baaphomet, if you make my friends feel bad, it makes me feel bad too..." The cat's blue and white ears drooped downward.
"...Oh." The drunken goat began to come to his senses. He had a soft spot for Blue. "Well..."
Like a demon transforming into an angel, the goat spread his wings, shadowed by the sun, as he gracefully floated onto the ground. His hooves kicked up the dust around him as he walked toward the Blue Sage.
"I'd never hurt Blue." His eyelids lowered, smiling towards the blue cat, whose cheeks lit up with cheer.
Blue's allies began to wake from their torture.
"What, really?" King Prince complained, "Is the Baaphomet playing favorites?"
The demon-angel turned towards the group. "Do you know what a Baaphomet is? We are the balance of opposites. The sunny night, and the starry day. Life and death. Chaos and peace."
He held onto Blue's paw, "Everything has a place in the world. Even sorrow."
Blue's ears flickered. "It does?"
It never felt like sadness and sorrow was needed, but the way this drunken goat god rambled on, Blue felt like they had a place in the world.
The goat nodded, "The world needs all kinds of people."
Blue's body shivered. In one of the rare moments of their life, they felt important, and started to smile.
Seeing Blue happy warmed all their friends' hearts! Nobody could fight at a time like this. Blue was already important to their friends, in a way they couldn't see, but they were also a part of nature's unbreakable balance. At least... as long as the world continued to exist.
"If you're not going to hurt Blue, and you're not going to hurt us... I guess we have a new ally?" Chris wondered hopefully.
The chaotic goat smirked, "You do for now... but I will get bored. Whether it's you, or your enemy, I'm gonna need to fight someone soon!"
The group laughed and got up, "Then we better hurry!"
In a rush, the five friends fled the scene.
"Hey..." the perverted king couldn't help but ask, "Are Baaphomets a balance of literally everything?"
"Nothing absolutely!" He sorta didn't answer.
The dog grinned, "What about male and female? I thought you were a guy, but you wouldn't make an exception and be just one thing, right?"
The goat just smiled, while their opposite, the non-binary Blue, had an answer of their own. "We would balance each other out that way too, since I'm neither."
