For the past few months, me and a bunch of friends have been enjoying a D&D campaign hosted by :linkNextGenAnubisKid: we’ve titled Legends From Larkanum: The New Horizon Era. Larkanum being the homebrow world our history buff DM cooked up. And that inspired me to get a few pics of our party getting up to shenanigans, culminating in this epic group shot with from left to right: Igni, Rokuro (and his Astral Self), Lily, Ankh, Trayvian and Takahashi
To quote our illustrious DM:
"Larkanum - a world of magic, swashbuckling, mystery, and adventure. The world as it is sits at a unique place within the universe; a place where the realms coalesce and overlap and allowing mere mortals access to the latent magical powers within the realms. Thousands of years of tectonic shift and large scale magical wars have shaped the world beyond natural means. Powerful gods and goddesses have made their presence known through direct and indirect means, further shaping the world into what it is today.
A largely laissez-faire approach to governance worldwide has led most to take the initiative and make their lives themselves. Some do this through legitimate means like starting their own businesses and making do with the resources their environments provide. Others do this by turning to crime. Some go as far as to broach taboo topics like alchemy and dark magic, and even going as far as to enter the service the Dark Gods.
