Confession session, y'all ...when I was young, I joined a gang: 'The Bedbug Bible Gang' (TBBBG). ^^
Yeah, ok, so there were worse options out there, and I joined only incidentally (that is, I liked the bedbugs's theme song, which is all it takes to join). :P
Anyway, so what is TBBBG?
TBBBG was an animated series that I recall watching on the INSP Network in the ye olde 1990's. The bedbugs (Buzzer and Sparky) would attempt to impart well-known Bible stories (from the old and new testaments) via storybook illustration, rhyming narration and relevant songs set to nursery rhymes/popular children's melodies.
TBBBG was cute, but intended for VERY young children (yet I watched this through my late teens to early 20's). ^^ In retrospect, I don't get what appeal this series had for me, esp. since I was only a nominal Christian at the time ...actually, that probably explains it. lol
In my old age, I take my *faith more seriously ...and it's for that reason that rewatching TBBBG wasn't all that fun for me just now. Still, save for some moments here and there, I couldn't bring myself to make (too much) fun of it. ^^
*Yes, I'm a Christian ...and not the sort who wants to argue, esp. online; go find an apologist. :p
I drew a random bedbug and the nameless cat from the show, via my Wallace Zephyr pencil, and delineated the line art via an Eagle Arcadia pencil ...No, I didn't use the featured pencil, because it's unsharpened and is the only one like it I have. That said, I cannot comment on the quality of this 'Bee Bee' pencil; it has no maker's mark and nothing seems to be written about it online. It's a lost and mostly forgotten artifact of the art/writing world. :3
When I was a kid, the only Christian themed TV show for kids that I knew of was the old Davey and Goliath claymation series. I can remember watching it before I was in kindergarten, and into my teens. Then it went off the air. They eventually started repeating them when cable systems with 50+ channels became the norm, and now can be streamed for free, so I sometimes still watch them.
I loved Goliath's voice, and how he was sort of like Davey's conscience. I liked the clay animation style too, as it was very different than ordinary cartoons.
I also watched the Flying House, Superbook, Adventures from the Book of Virtues, Swamp Critters, Discovery Jones, The Reppies, Boz the Bear, and Dooley and Pals, when they were available to me. I never got into the VeggiTales or TBBBG though. Perhaps I was too old by the time those came out to relate to them.
Generally if there were live action fursuits or puppets, I'd end up watching to see the puppets and fursuits, then end up getting hooked on the show. If the music was good, I'd often keep watching something and be hooked. Some of the earlier Christian series simply had good stories, and that was enough to hook me. Now, most stuff doesn't even have much of a story or plot, or if it does, it's resolved in just five minutes. I like shows where it would take an entire half our or more to get through a story! Few shows provide that any more.

Ah, the Davey and Goliath program. I think they used Animagic, like Rankin-Bass did (not too sure). Either way, i liked that one, too.
I've seen most of the ones you mentioned---a few of those I recall from INSP and ...I wanna say TLC but I'm unsure. ^^ There was also an animated series called Angel Wings, that aired with TBBBG and Discovery Jones that I started to draw, but chose this instead (for now, anyway).
Good Christian kids shows are fairly hard to find now ...they're either far too silly (BoogaBooga Land) or take themselves a bit (too) seriously (can't think of a title, but those hyper-realistic ones that tell it straight).

There was a webcomic called "Pixelated" where a duck character says he is about to attack Jesus himself. So a man walks up to the duck who shouts, "Go away, I'm waiting for Jesus!" The man replies, "But I am Jesus! Jesus Garcia, D. D. S." The duck kicks him. Mexicans find the cartoon funny.

I gotta wonder if people would treat bedbugs with a little more respect if they saw this! (spoiler no they wouldn't!!) I also gotta wonder WHY did they use BEDBUGS at all! Maybe they didn't know what they actually were?? I don't think we'll ever know.
I feel strangely sorry for the "Bee-Bee" pencil. Sad that we may never know the history of or how good or bad at drawing/writing it is. :(

The writers were likely going for alliteration ...that and they didn't want to draw complex/recognizable insect shapes (I guess they thought a 'bedbug' could be anything). ^^
I see Bee Bees infrequently on eBay, but none have (recently) been accompanied by other pencils I'd want to buy (it's always a bad deal to buy one of these singly).

Hopefully a Bee Bee will show with a group and bee bee sharpened *snert* so we can see it preform. Gotta admit I love actually seeing a pencil reviewed for it's true purpose so we get an idea of it's real worth! :D

Almost all the pencils I've bought here late are unsharpened. Mostly because I hope to get a little of the money back for them at some point, once my health really begins to go (I want my mother to have something---I'm sure I'll go before she does).
I bought a Maple Leaf by Eagle not long ago---unsharpened, of course. Hopefully the damn seller mails in a box (I told them to, but they didn't respond).
I have very few sharpened pencils in line for featuring. :(
