Yeager was born a male lion cub with blond fur and brown eyes. He also had light-brown stripes on his tail, as well as a diamond mark on his forehead and a unique birthmark on his hind leg. Yaegar was born on the Island of Andros in the Ancient lands of Greece. When Yaegar was born, a group of travelers found him and noticed the birthmark on his leg. The Greeks took it as a sign from the Gods and decided to take him back to their home to be raised.

Yaegar rather got use to living with the human, but did spend time with lion prides that lived in the forests. Yaegar often bragged to other Cubs that he was special and would become a great Lion. Yaegar often went with the humans on their ships when sailing throughout the islands and rather enjoyed it. Yaegar was often put in Greek racing games.

At one point, the Greeks took Yaegar to a small island where there was a statue of Poseidon. Yaegar underwent a test and was buried in sand up to his neck near the ocean and had to be buried for 24 hours. He was rather scared because he was trapped the water was cold and getting his head wet. Yaegar struggled his head throughout the ordeal, but made it through. Yaegar often wondered why he believed he was chosen by the Gods, but would would come to know when the time came.
