After drawing this picture, I feel a little worn out..... This was a completely new pose for me, drawing one pony, drawing another pony sitting behind that pony, hugging from behind, hindlegs wrapped around each other. I had to figure out a lot for this picture, the many WIP sketches I've uploaded and the enormous number of hours I needed for such a tiny picture are testament to that. This is the first time in these Newbie Artist Training Grounds that I'm feeling a burnout..... I might take a day off from drawing tomorrow.
The prompt for Day 7 is Draw a pony in love / Draw a pony ready to take the plunge. And I decided to draw Peach Fuzz and Train Tracks together. I could have drawn a Scootabloom picture, my all-time favourite ship, but I have already drawn a lot of Crusader pictures this year, so I went with them instead. Peach Fuzz hugging her coltfriend Train Tracks from behind, while they look each other into the eyes. A simple picture, but a complicated one for me. I was very confident at first, because Train Tracks came out so well, then nearly broke myself when trying to figure out how to draw Peach Fuzz' pose. I originally wanted Peach Fuzz' entire face be visible, which I know is anatomically possible, but I couldn't figure out how to draw her neck without making it look like a snake neck. So I went with this solution. Not exactly what I wanted, but close.
I have participated seven days in a row now. This is the highest number of days that I drew without interruption in any of the NATG I've participated in so far. The previous contender for this goes to the NATG V in 2015, when I participated six days in a row before falling off. The streak might see an interruption tomorrow, but I have already beaten my record, so it wouldn't be too bad if it does.
