Hooo boy, it's been a long time coming... brace yourselves up.

Meet Raywell.

If you had a chance to ask any of the Desire Keepers about the wolf's age, they'd be puzzled, if even willing to talk about the guy. Raywell is the oldest Desire Keeper of the seven known. His exact age is a mystery, but it can be assumed with a certain degree of confidence that he's been walking the multiverse for over a millenium.

Raywell is the de facto leader of The Ancient Desires. He's been around the longest and he's undoubtedly the most powerful of the bunch, having nearly brought his gemstone to full completion over his lifetime, leaving only two or three shards to be added whenever he manages to find them.
Although his leading role is more than justified, seeing as many years ago he was the one who had the idea of gathering those akin to him in a team of sorts, Charles being the first one to join him. Aside from the fact that he gathered all the Desire Keepers around himself over the following decades and centuries, not much is known about his prior life. Raywell is not exactly sentimental in regards to these kinds of things, so getting anything out of him is nearly impossible. What makes the situation worse is that most of his early memories have completely faded into obscurity due to his gem's growing corruption. Not just the life before getting bonded with the Desire Gem, but a good chunk of his existance as a Keeper. Perhaps he's trying to suppress these memories willingly.

Raywell is the Keeper of the Sexual Desire. His powers specifically torch up the flames of pure lust laying deep within your soul, overflowing your mind with nothing but the pure primal sexual desire. The wolf might've just been one of the first Desire Keepers to ever exist, seeing as his gemstone is not tied down to anything specific. Using his bond with the crystal, Raywell's capable of exciting anyone he wishes to stir up, making them crave satisfaction from either himself, or anyone around. The fact he has the most of his shattered stone rebuilt makes his influence nearly irresistable... And he most certainly enjoys wielding his unrivaled might, toying with pathetic "lower" beings however he sees fit, all to satisfy his own urges.

The wolf has an insane superiority complex. He views the common folk as dirt underneath his shoes, nothing but mere toys for his primal needs or servants to carry out menial tasks. In his own eyes, he's a god... and a merciless one at that. A lot of times, the Keeper, seemingly, tries to appear apathetic... but that couldn't be farther from the truth that is his primal, power-hungry self. If one would be asked to describe the Desire Keeper with a single word, it'd definitely be something along the lines of a 'sadist'. Raywell lives his life to the fullest, without any consideration for those whose interests conflict with his own. He'll get what he desires regardless of any protests or screams of pain. It's terrifying. No slave of his dares to step an inch out of line, scared of the torture they would endure if they'd even try to rebel, not to mention the fact the struggle would be entirely futile.

His twisted self manifests in the shape he chose for his Desire Gem: a sword. Raywell used all the shards he got thus far to form a menacing sturdy blade. While he's versed enough with the power of his gemstone to freely alter its appearance from anything like a simple dagger to a full sword, it's always shaped like a cold weapon. What's even more twisted is the fact that such a shape reflects the way he uses his gem's power. Raywell influences the minds of his prey by leaving cuts on their bodies with his blade. Even though he's still capable of applying the effect from a distance via the glow of his Desire Gem, it's far less effective than leaving a mark. Besides, the wolf is more than fond of some power play.

Raywell's sense of superiority doesn't just end with "lower beings", however. It fully extends onto his fellow Desire Keepers. While Raywell is fairly level with Charles, while he mostly sees Meruette as someone of his own rank and while he respects Cascell, considering his power to fit with the "higher" Desire Keepers... same cannot be said for Darefell, Claire or Felicity.
Darefell is the keeper of a "Third-Rate Desire" in Raywell's eyes. The wolf doesn't get the appeal of getting turned on by simply restraining the prey. To him restraints are just a tool used to render his property helpless if he ever needs to. Being far more powerful than the hedgehog, the leader often bullies Darefell, not taking his existance seriously. Claire, to Raywell, is mostly a joke. He doesn't find her to be offensive, instead seeing her as something plainly weird. Oh well, some entertainment, at least. Felicity... is different from the other two. Raywell still doesn't see her powers as anything worthwhile, yet he's much more indifferent towards her in particular.

Despite all that, Raywell is still a leader. He has great interest in expanding the group's influence and is constantly urging his fellow Desire Keepers to keep searching for new shards so that they'd be able to increase their own power further. Whether there is an ulterior motive to his gathering of such a group in the first place or the constant strive to power up himself and his allies is uncertain. What's certain, however, is the fact that Raywell will stop at nothing before achieving insane levels of power unknown to anyone before him.

It's somewhat hard to believe that we're finally here. All 7 Desire Keepers have been revealed. I sure as hell took my sweet time with this project, but it's finally brought to fruition.
Raywell... is a character I've been worried about since the start of this venture. To put it plainly, he's the bad guy. I'm sure the text above does a good job at detailing why exactly. Of course, all of The Ancient Desires are villains per say, but the self-centered wolf is most certainly rougher than the rest of them.
I'd like to take a moment to state the importance of differentiating reality from fiction. The topics this character touches upon... are quite messed up... yet he specifically exists to explore them. With Raywell, I'm looking forward to exploring fictional scenarios and fantasies a little beyond your average perils.
I thank you for joining me on this journey... but rest assured, the world of The Ancient Desires is still full of interesting surprises and amusing characters that cannot wait to meet you. See you around.

if you are looking for suggestions, ever heard about freedom planet? It's a platform game that started as a Sonic fan game before becoming its own thing. Its characters have an art style very close to Sonic. I suggest you take a look. Maybe Meruette can get her hands on Lilac, Carol, or Neera ^^
