Father And Son Fifteen: A Revelation On The Path To Love

"My name is Omar Holender. I'm twenty-six years old and I'm the owner of the Alpha Muscle gym. All of my life I've been tormented about my sexuality. I was obsessed with learning to love women despite not being interested in the slightest....and it's blown up in my face now. I'm just lucky that Darius is here for me...That man...he's my rock...He's my support...I love him more then anyone or anything...but could I really be IN love with him?"
*   *   *

Monday morning. Darius had fallen asleep in Omar's arms. Omar however, was awake all night trying to figure out how he feels. He looked at the sun start to rise. "I know that I love him....But...I can't do it yet...." Darius looked down to Darius smiling. "I don't want to hurt you....Especially not you..." Omar's tears fell softly onto his shirt. "So I have work this out...For us." Omar carefully got up from under Darius, laying him softly on the couch and gently kissing him on the cheek. "Wait for me, my sweet little puppy..."

Darius woke up a bit later. He immediately noticed Omar was missing. "Omar....Where did he go?" As he sat up a piece of paper fell into his lap from his forehead. "A note..."

"Darius, went to the gym to think. Be back later.
~Love, Omar.
P.S. I drank the last of the grapefruit juice. I'll pick up more on the way home."

"Hmm...I guess he needs to just work it out by himself...Wait...He drank all the juice!?  THAT WAS A FULL BOTTLE! God dammit...He's picking up more on the way home, though...On the way home..." Darius smiled. "He's home here..."

It was the late afternoon. Wrestling practice was just wrapping up.

"Good job men! Your all looking a lot better now. If you guys keep improving like this, then the entire tournament will be ours! Now hit the showers, and no funny business! We can't exactly dominate if you guys can't walk straight regardless of how hot you've gotten!" The students all had a good laugh as they left for the showers. Lars, however, stuck behind.

"Sooo coach..." Lars looked around, being sure everyone is gone. "How is it with Omar? We didn't hear from you yesterday."

"Omar's really confused about himself..." Darius shook his head. "And until he figures himself out, he can't dedicate himself to any other relationships. It turns out his wife had the divorce order set for a while and sprung it on him at the last second. The trial is Wednesday.

"Yikes! What a total bitch." Lars grumbled.

"Yeah...in the mean time, he's staying with me. I'm taking James' advice to heart and giving him all the love I possibly can."

"Is it working?" Lars raised an eyebrow.

"It really is. Every moment we're together, he gets a bit better." Darius smiled.

"That's great coach!" Lars hugged Darius quickly. "We got to be there for our men!"

"That's right Lars!" Darius smirked and nodded. "If they don't have us, who do they have?"

"Speaking of, I got to get going!" Lars gathered up his stuff. "Dad's taking me out to dinner and I got to get home to greet him."

"Okay. Have a good time! And tell James I said thanks for everything!" Darius waved to Lars.

"Alright coach! Good luck with Omar!" Lars started to leave.

"Aren't you going to change out of your uniform?" Darius chuckled.

"Haha nope. Dad thinks it's sexy, so I'm keeping it on until he gets home!" Lars ran out the gym.

Omar chuckled to himself. "That kid...is really fucking energetic..."

*   *   *

Darius returned home a bit later. "Omar, I'm home.....he's not here..." Darius looked around, nothing had been touched since he left.  "Hmm..." Darius sat down and looked at the note, still on the coffee table. "...I can tell...He needs me..." Darius got up grabbed his keys and left out.

*   *   *

At the gym, Omar was sitting on a wrestling mat silently when he heard a door open. Darius stepped in.

"There you are. I was starting to get worried..." Darius walked up to Omar, sitting down next to him."

"My mom..." Omar stared down at the floor.

"Hmm?" Darius raised an eyebrow.

"It was all my mom. This whole thing...." Omar looked to Darius with a look of clarity. "My confusion..."

"Your mother? What did she..." Darius rested his hand on Omar's.

"I'm an only child...and my mom wanted grandchildren more then anything out of me...so she would always tell me how she wanted children. How I would HAVE to get a wife...I wanted so badly to please her....I just got obsessed with being straight...I forgot it was her who got that started..." Darius looked relived. "So now I know why I was so scared in the first place...Because my mom wanted children...and I didn't want to disappoint her..."

"But we can have children." Darius held Omar's hand tightly. "It would be kinda fun having a kid with you. We could adopt."

"That's not a problem." Omar stopped Darius. "I don't want any children..." Omar shook his head. "And mom has been dead for years now..."

"That's right....I almost forgot she passed..."

Omar smiled widely. "She's dead...I don't have to please a dead woman...." Omar turned to Darius. "So I'm free from that obligation..." Omar hugged Darius. "I'm free Darius! I was so depressed and worried for years...but I've been free all along..."

"It's not her decision Omar. You're your own person." Darius held his hand over Omar's heart. "Your free to love whomever you want...You always have been."

"Your right Omar. You've always been right..." Darius kissed Omar on the cheek. "Thank you for helping me remember that..."

"It's not a problem Omar. I lo-"

"No Darius." Omar put his finger to Darius' lips. "Just because I'm free doesn't mean I'm ready..." Omar got a serious look. "Before I even consider giving my heart to anyone, I have to take it back from that woman." Omar held Darius softly in his arms. "You been with me this far...Would you want to join me at the hearing?"

Darius held Omar's cheek. "Wherever you go I go, my beautiful alphamale."

"Thank you Darius." Omar hugged Darius tightly, kissing him on the cheek. "We're almost there Darius..."

"Want to head home now Omar?" Darius stood up, holding a hand out to Omar.

"Yeah...home..." Omar smiled as he took Darius' hand and stood up.

"Alright then...but first.." Darius dragged Omar in so they were chest to chest and stared intensely into Omar's eyes. "I had a FULL bottle of grapefruit juice and you drank ALL of it!?"

"What can I say?" Omar shrugged. "I got thirsty. A bear like me needs a lot of juice to get going."

"Funny Omar. Funny." Darius held on to Omar's hand and dragged him out of the gym. "We're going to the store RIGHT NOW and your buying me TWO bottles of juice!"

Omar smiled widely and laughed as Darius dragged him. "Why two!?"

Darius stopped, his hand still in Omar's, and smiled at him. "Because my man needs a lot of juice to get going."

"Come on Darius. I promise I won't drink it all this time. You know how much that fancy juice you get costs?" Omar and Darius walked out of the gym together laughing, hand in hand.

*   *   *

"I'm....at a loss for words. I forgot that it was my mother who put those ideas in my head....It's frightening how she had that kind of effect on my mind...But Darius is right, I don't owe her a child. I don't owe her ANYTHING! And once I get Brandi out of my life, I can start a new one! And hopefully...Darius will be there with me..."
