Sammy is a blind Kangaskhan who is the son of a Marowak sculptor named Lewis and a Kangaskhan circus performer name Odella. While Sammy spends most of the time with his mother at the circus, he has trouble appreciating Odella's performances as he is blind. He prefers his father's work because he can touch a sculpture. Sammy wears a plastic Cubone mask and carries a walking stick made to look like a bone club, both made by his father.
Sammy does love his mother, he just wishes they'd spend more time with his daddy. Travelling the world is not nearly as interesting when you can't see it.
