I've tried to come up with a design for Claydatoo's sword. I mainly got inspired by Conan the Barbarian's sword from the 1982 movie and a sword which I saw at a local museum. It's rather hard to come up with a convincing sword since fantasy swords tend to look too fantastic and too fancy to be believable weapons. But the other problem is that swords which look exactly like the weapons of our ancestors take us out of a fantasy world since they are obviously objects from actual history. I think that the Lord of the Rings movie did a wonderful job in this regard. The weapons aren't too stylized but they are also not just blank imitations of historical swords. They have their own look and feel but still come off as believable weapons.

Too fancy to be believable weapon ? I don't see what you are talking about XD
No really all of them are normal XP

I would say the witcher sword are quite believable too. But this one you have made look great too ^^

Thank you very much! I can't see either image, unfortunately. They don't load for me.

I totally agree! The witcher swords are very, very well done! They look believable while not being shallow copies of existing swords.

Wow, now that's a big sword! I'm impressed! It does look cool, but not very practical.

Yeah, that's why i was implying very ironically that there is no such thing as an unpractical sword. Because all of those i have shown are. XD
