I've played around with the idea of a gargoyle/kobold hybrid being and my product was this sketch here: the character deliberately resembles Alvar to some degree! I imagine him being a relative of his!
The name "Claydatoo" is a reference to a place named Chlendadu which I used to love as a kid. There's also a planet named Klendathu in the Starship Troopers books and movies, if I remember correctly.
