I've been in a sonic mood lately and I thought I'd practice with some sketches. Also tried a new sketching style a bit. Tell me how it looks.
Also, I've been wanting to revisit my chaos au for a while. I'm not gonna redo the comic no sir, I've already sold my soul twice and I don't have the commitment for that. I will however show some like redesigns and maybe a few comic sketches of like the main points of the story cuz I've pretty much scrapped the original. Younger me did not understand that having characters with super dark backstories would be cringe. TTwTT The main aspects of the au will stay the same but the actual plot itself is very much different.
You want to know how these pictures look? They look frikken Cool and amazing. Also I never thought you dark backstory for your Sonic works was cringe. If anything it was one of the best thought out stories I've read. The dark content really fleshed out Sonics normally happy mood and the end was perfect. Plus I loved you drawing style of sonic and friends.

Fleshed out was indeed what it was and that’s how I kinda like my stories, be as in-depth yet easy to follows However, as I go back and revisit it I realize just kinda outlandish(?) some of the scenarios were (the rape thing/the whole situation of sonic running away but before arriving at green hill/Jules literally deciding to put his child in some crazy experiments just cuz his kid told him too). As I’ve gotten older and just learned about how to write a good story in general it made me wanna redo it and just make it more “in character” in a sense.

All that is true. But streching things is how tales get told. And all the best fan works do go a bit OOC or make a few changes to the characters here and there. It's just necessary to get a story, provided you don't go too far.
