Freia can never sit still, her mind always racing with a million thoughts even during what outwardly seems like a peaceful walk in the park. Walking through the grass, she finds herself drawn to something in the distance: a lone flower growing in the field, quickly heading over and kneeling beside it and taking out her phone to snap a few pictures for inspiration. Putting her phone away she finds herself still staring at the little flower as though entranced by it. Watching its thin stems and bell-like petals sway in the breeze, her mind calming as she imagines a gentle chiming as the wind washes over the little bells... A loud whirring noise and a clearing throat snap her out, looking over to find the park's groundskeeper standing nearby, lawnmower in hand. She had been standing in a part of the park that had yet to be mowed, and quickly apologized as she got up and took a few steps out of the groundskeeper's way. She winced as he went back to work, cutting the flower into pieces and continuing onward with his mower. The thin stem was turned to shreds and the little bells completely destroyed... Freia continued her walk, a piece of her heart broken.
It's a gorgeous picture, and I love the feeling of serenity it evokes, and the clear joy that the little flower brings to her. But the ending of the story is just tragic. Poor little flower. And poor Freia, too. But at least she had that one quiet moment of happiness and maybe some small part of that will carry through the rest of her day.
And my gosh yes, Saucy does amazing work! Everyone should check him out!

I just wish I didn't read the story, it gave me the big sad. My only solace is that I know that these plants are actually indestructible. We have them in the garden and its very difficult to keep them in check lol, they would just grow everywhere over time.

Oh, the poor flowers. I know the groundskeeper has a job to do, but he could've given her time to at least pick them so she could take them with her. This is such a beautiful picture, though, and it's nice to see Freia in a quiet moment like this. Her outfit is so pretty, too, especially the fishnet top and the little red dress looks so good with her customary beret.
I wanna plant a whole field full of flowers, just for her, and anyone else, who wants to enjoy them.
