Hmm... crafting shading details one area at a time using "drop layer content" is a clever idea. I should try that.

What program do you use? I use Paint Tool Sai so near the end got abit difficult to figure out the differences and unfortunately I lack the Gradient Tool.

I also use Paint Tool Sai. The last "step" is just a suggestion, a lot of things change there. I just used a giant airbrush for the gradient.

Fantastic, I am enjoying this technique but I can definitely use more practice. I used to just blend everything, and thank you so much for the response. My try on this technique is the goodra drawing i did just yesterday
