One of my fears was to find a girl who was otherwise perfect...Christian, thinks my comics are funny, addicted to the same drug I was, likes videogames...but terminally ill, and that I'd make rash, impulsive decisions to get as deep into the relationship as I could while she was around.
In fact, that nearly describes my first girlfriend (who was lying about the "being a Christian" part and faking the "terminally ill" part to emotionally manipulate people, but that's another can of worms)
I wound up really loving this character (she's named Avril, after the actress who played Heather in Over the Hedge) and keeping her around permanently in my gallery going forward. My current girlfriend loves her too.
