Though as for her story, yeah, that's a major concern that they were recognized right away, though...My guess of the dark omen may in fact be the rest of the ship's crew not too thrilled with Gwen's family, being very...uhhh traditional and closed minded as they were/are.

I skipped over that stuff a bit because it would have added too much detail. But the ship's crew and most of the other passengers know of her family's magic abilities. Her Uncle Ponsore was a land baron back in Mossflower and oversaw the land that most of these rats lived on. He was also the one who got them out of Mossflower safely. Even with all that, there still would have been some rats that were uncomfortable with having a family of witches in their midst. Ponsore knows deep down that there was a certain blessing in his sister's death. It showed the other passengers and crew that even the witches weren't immune to the ravages of disease and that their magic can only do so much. Had they come through unscathed, they could have been lynched despite everyone's history together.

Although we've come to sympathize with her in this story, Gwendolyn IS a 'wicked witch'. She's taken good care of Chucky but that doesn't change her kidnapping him and taking what she needed without permission from him or his guardian. Her previous victims were not so lucky; her extended life came only from their deaths. Would her even harder 'younger self' have seen him only as a sex object, or might she have been tempted to darker uses for his innocence and vitality? I wonder what's the basis of her morality today? On the other paw, she might have a point about "needing to conclude her story". I love every darling page of course but we're naturally approaching The End.

The answer to those questions is yes and no. If Chucky befriended her younger self, she would have seen him as a friend and been much more conscious of his feelings. It might have played out similar to this story, depending on how she approached him to begin with and the circumstances of their meeting. She would have experienced a lot of internal conflict with him. He also could have ended up dead like many others, or one of the many young males who's semen she took while he slept.
Gwendolyn's morals are based on enriching the lives of those she cares about and those who enrich her life. She is indifferent to all others. She has no loyalty to society or country.

Well that's the funny thing about his 'fuck me' shorts, they do their best work while being worn. They showcase the butt just right, there is always at least some of a bulge to see(even if it is just a little lump), and they give that perfect little tease around the upper thighs where you can almost see up a pant leg, but juuuuust not quite.
