Peaches noticed that Sonic was eating more than usual, but she hadn't thought much about it before. Now, it was strange and odd behavior. Sonic was almost always complaining that he was hungry. She was relieved when he went on a mission with Tails and Knuckles one day; without permission.
Peaches, Amy, Sonia, Manic, and Cyrus were eating lunch when Peaches broke the silence.
"Hey, guys? Sonic's been acting a little. . .weird." All eyes looked at her.
"Weird?" Sonia repeated. "How so?"
"Well, he's been eating slightly more than usual and he complains a lot about hunger pangs." Peaches explained.
"Well," Sonia began, "he was sick for months. He couldn't eat anything for a while. Of course he'd be eating more and feeling hungry." Sonia had a point. With her explanation backed up by the known facts, Sonic's behavior didn't seem so strange, but Peaches still felt worry tugging at her heart.
"He's never acted this way before. . ." Peaches saw a knowing look flash across Sonia and Manic's faces. Amy put a hand on Peaches' shoulder.
"Don't worry, Sonic's fine. If it helps any, I'll make a slightly bigger dinner tonight, okay?" Peaches hugged Amy.
"Thank you."

Sonic wrapped Peaches in a bear hug when he came home later that afternoon, playfully imitating a bear growl. Peaches laughed as they plopped down on the floor, Sonic nibbling her ears.
"Mmmm~ What shampoo are you using? It tastes so good!" Sonic blurted out. Peaches' eyes opened. It had been twice now that he had complimented the tastiness of her shampoo.
"Sonic, are you feeling all right?" She asked.
"Yeah, why ask?"
"No reason. . ."
Sonic kissed her forehead and rose to his feet. He helped her up and whispered, "Wanna take a bath?" A sexy growl escaped him as she replied, "Yes."

Peaches laid on her bed, reading a book, while Sonic laid beside her, playing a video game. The two of them were facing opposite directions with Peaches' feet beside Sonic's head and his feet beside her's. Peaches could hear Sonic slightly cursing at his game before exclaiming, "No! Don't come near me Malarkey Stone!"
"You mean a Boom Stomper?" Peaches teased him.
"Ah, Reaper!" He replied. Sonic had a few other enemies chasing him through the game. Eventually, the enemies ganged up on him and killed his avatar. Sonic closed the game console and rolled onto his back. "I died." He announced, laughing. Peaches crawled on top of him and kissed him.
"You nerd."
Sonic kissed his pink angel back. He started to pull her dress off her shoulders when Amy called, "Dinner!" Sonic was gone in an instant, leaving Peaches dumbfounded when she realized she was kissing her bed sheets.
"Someone's hungry." Amy laughed, seeing Sonic sit down at the table eagerly. It was only a few seconds later when Peaches came to the table, a look of irritation on her face.
"What's the big idea leaving me at the altar, Blue?"
"T-the a-alter?" He stammered, confused and frightened. Peaches could see he was scared and held his hand.
"It was a joke, hun."
"Oh. Silly me." Sonic gave an embarrassed chuckle.
"Dinner is served." Amy announced. Sonic's ears pricked. He looked at his plate.
"Oh, wow!" Sonic exclaimed, thrilled. "Steak, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, pasta, and zucchini cakes? Amy, you've outdone yourself!"
"It was nothing." She replied and sat down. Everyone ate heartily that night.
"That was too good." Sonic told Amy, licking BBQ sauce off his fingers.
"Glad you enjoyed it." She replied and picked up his dishes, placing them in the dishwasher. "Ready to go to bed?"
"Yep." Sonic yawned and stretched. Peaches wrapped her arms around him and playfully cooed, "Aw, is Sonikku sweepy? Does baby wanna go beddy-bye?" Sonic blushed and nervously chuckled.
"You two are so cute." Amy said. As Peaches began to lead Sonic to bed, Amy called, "Don't forget your pills, Sonic!"

Sonic awoke to a burning sensation deep in his belly accompanied by a low growling.
"Oh no. . ." He thought out loud. "Not again!" Sonic covered his ears as the growling grew a bit louder. "Shut up!" Sonic gazed over at Peaches. She stirred a little, but didn't open her eyes. Sonic slowly got out of bed, careful not to wake her, and hurried to the kitchen to find something to eat.
All the ice cream was gone, so that was out of the question. He looked all over the kitchen until he found the oatmeal cookies Amy had baked earlier that day. Sonic's stomach growled as he stared at them. He picked one up and looked toward her bedroom.
"I'm so sorry, Amy."

Peaches woke up the next morning to find Sonic still asleep. She smiled as she watched him. She scanned his body and then stopped. She could see the contour of his hand under the sheets in a place she never thought she'd see. Peaches gingerly pulled down the covers and opened her eyes in surprise. Just as she suspected, here Sonic was sleeping, and at the same time, unwittingly resting his hand on his tummy. He would never do that, never in his right mind. And he never woke up in a position much different than the one he fell asleep in, which meant, he must have fallen asleep with his hand on his stomach! Peaches quickly pulled up the covers as he was beginning to awaken. He yawned and rolled over to face her.
"Good morning, Peachy-Babe." He greeted her.
"Good morning." She replied as cheerily as possible. "How are you?"
"Hungry."
Peaches felt worry grip her heart. This was definitely not his normal behavior.
"Is something wrong?" Peaches faked a smile and replied, "No. Everything is fine."
"Okay," Sonic replied, almost cautiously. He sat up and stretched. He joints emitted a cracking sound and almost instantly after, he pinned Peaches and kissed her. She couldn't help but melt into the kiss. She ran the fingers of one hand through the quills on his back as the other grabbed his tail and twirled it in circles. Sonic giggled and blushed as she played with his tail, even after the end of the kiss.
"Uh, you can let go of my tail now." Peaches didn't cease her teasing. Sonic felt his heart pound heavily. "Peaches. . ." he begged. "Seriously, stop." By this point, he was panting as if he had just ran a million miles. Peaches smirked. She knew that his tail was one of his weak spots. He could be turned on by a single touch to his tail. Sonic shook his head, trying to clear the fog. Peaches was smiling at him. He looked so cute shaking his head like a kitty. It was this moment that Sonic's stomach gave a low growl.
Sonic's face turned red. He tried to hid it by curling up. Peaches' face had turned red too. The worry she had felt before returned.
"Sonic? Are you okay?" She asked as casually as possible. Sonic heard the underlying, worried tone.
Oh no. He thought. I scared her.
"I'm fine! Just a bit hungry." Sonic voice sounded strained from his curled position. His stomach gave an angry growl. Peaches was startled and a bit frightened by the sound. She reached out and poked the side of his belly, causing him to uncurl.
"Let's get some breakfast." She giggled and again faked a smile. Sonic blushed and took her hand.
Peaches curiously watched Sonic as he opened the fridge and then every cupboard and cabinet before finally settling on having a bowl of cereal. He sat down at the table without bothering to put in milk, and started munching on his pathetic breakfast. Peaches was eating her own cereal, but she was very concerned for Sonic. She studied his face. He looked extremely agitated.
"Hun, are you sure you're all right?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Even his voice sounded agitated. Peaches understood why. Even though he was eating, his stomach just kept on growling at him. Peaches couldn't help but blush as she listened to it. Sonic finished his cereal and went back to have a second and third bowl.
Extremely frustrated, Sonic went and sat down on the couch with a huff. He couldn't understand it. Why couldn't he sate his hunger? Peaches sat beside him and planted a kiss on his cheek. Sonic smiled a little and blushed. He turned his gaze to her and gave a slight chuckle.
"Sonic," Peaches began, deciding to take a serious tone. "Are you sure you're all right? I'm worried about you." Sonic sighed. He knew she was going to say that sooner or later.
"Babe, I'm fine. Just a bit more hungry than usual." He tried to smile at her, but couldn't when he saw how frightened she was.
"You've been saying that a lot lately. I think I need to take you to the doctor."
Sonic gulped. He did not like the sound of that. "Bae, you know I hate doctors."
"I know, Sonic, but I'm really worried. I just want to make sure you're okay."
Sonic sighed deeply. "All right, but I'm doing it for you." Peaches kisses his cheek softly.
"I'll go set up the appointment."
Peaches got up and went into the other room to call the doctor. Meanwhile, Sonic looked down at his belly.
"Why do you have to be such a prick?" He asked it. He felt stupid talking to himself like that though, and decided to stop. Peaches came back as sat down next to him.
"He says at 2 pm tomorrow."
Sonic felt horrible. He was so ashamed and embarrassed of himself at the moment that all he wanted to do was cry. He leaned against Peaches and buried himself deep in her shoulder so she wouldn't know that he was crying himself to sleep.
