Background: Magmar was the ninth of his name in the long line of House Infernia. He was born half lion, half tiger with a mix of blond, gold and black fur and red eyes. His father was Prince Azakin and his mother was princess Citalia. Magmar was born in the kingdom of Flamorian in the realm of Azuria, but lived most of his life in exile in the free lands of Estorion.

House Infernia was the greatest magical dynasty in Azuria and they ruled the twelve kingdoms as its kings and queens for centuries from their capital of Flamorian, sitting upon the Throne of Flames. The members of House Infernia were mainly Tigers and skilled in fire magic. The land was then ruled by King Magmar the 8th, who would then be succeeded by his son Azakin. Azakins wife Citalia was a lioness.

For many years since they were married, Azakin and Citalia tried for many years to get pregnant, but were unable to produce a son or daughter. If they could not, then the throne would be succeeded by Azakins brother, who had four sons of his own.

In secret, Azakin sought out the aid of a witch. After pleading to the witch to give him a son, she granted his request, but at a heavy price. The witch would give Azakin a son, but she would produce the child herself. Azakin feared his wife and family would find out, but the witch ensured that Citalia would never find out. After mating with the Witch, Azakin took Citalia to a cottage far from the capital, where they remained for a year. The witch manipulated Citalias memory to make her believe she was pregnant.

Long after, the witch gave birth to a son. After he was born, Azakin killed the witch by stabbing her through the heart. Before she died, the witch gave Azakin a warning. If Citalia gave birth to a son, then the spell would be broken. He then presented the baby to his wife, who believed the baby was hers because of the witches spell. The boy was born a tiger, but had a black colored body and stripes and had a left black eye and right red eye. Citalia and Azakin named the boy Xegol.

Xegol proved to be a difficult child to raise. He would not listen to anyone and talked to himself constantly, claiming he was speaking to voices in his head. As years passed, rumors spread around Flamorian that Xegol was mothered by a witch. When he was nineteen, Citalia was pregnant at last. A few weeks after learning of her pregnancy, King Magmar died in his sleep and Azakin was killed in battle. Because of the witches spell, Citalia was still convinced that Xegol was her son and placed him on throne. Xegol was crowned as the first of his name and King of Azuria.

Xegols reign was dark and terrifying. He would not heed the advise of his council, ignored his subjects and killed anyone he suspected of treachery. Even Citalia feared Xegol. No matter how hard she tried, she could not keep him in line. She prayed that she would give birth to a son and be able to put him on the throne.

When Citalia was five months along, Xegol summoned twelve ladies from the holy village of Eden to his court. He made them his ladies-in-waiting and impregnated them all. The Kings High Council objected to Xegols actions, for the women were married. When word reached Eden of Xegols sinful actions, the women of his court were taken back to the village by force. The priests informed the king that he would never see his offspring. In his wrath, Xegol used the dark magic within him and obliterated the village of Eden and killed all the villagers, including the husbands of the wives he took.

Xegols action did not go unnoticed. The Holy Faith replied to the destruction of Eden by raising its armies in rebellion against the crown. The other Kingdoms also revolted against Flamorian. For months, Azuria was plunged into war and the rebels were winning. The Holy Faith killed anyone who was aligned with Famorian.

In the final days of the rebellion, Citalia gave birth to a son and named him Magmar. Just after the birth, the witches curse over Citlalia was broken and she learned that Azakin deceived her and Xegol was mothered by a witch. Days later, the rebels infiltrated the capital of Flamorian and made their way to the castle. In a final act, the Flamorian mages opened a portal that led to a secret stronghold used by House Infernia and got Queen Citalia and Prince Magmar there safely.

The Holy Faith and the rebels killed Xegol and rest of the Royal family, then took the capital in victory. With Flamorian taken and the rest of the realm turned against them, Citalia and Magmar were smuggled across the Ancient Sea to the Free Lands of Estorion. They forced to live in exile and roamed the lands eversince.

But they were not the only ones. After the rebellion, the Holy Faith took control of Famorian and appointed a non magic King to the throne. Afterwords, they led attacks all over Azuria, killing anyone who used magic. The magic kingdoms came under attack. Several spell users and citizens managed to flee and sail east towards Estorion. They settled along the shores and built a town named Azurmerian.

For fourteen years, Citalia and Magmar traveled Estorion, seeking shelter where they could find it. They eventually made their way to Azumerian, where they were surprisingly welcomed with open arms. Citalia explained to everyone that the rumors about Xegol were true and that Magmar was her only true born son. In that moment, Magmar gave a powerful speech and everyone kneeled before him. Magmar was anointed as the ninth of his name and the rightful King of Azuria.

Magmar was then anointed as the Lord of Azumerian, with his mother as his council, as well as several members of the Flamorian High Council. Magmar ruled with a kind heart for two good years. He learned what it meant to be a king. Magmar also learned in combat and the history of his homeland. He also practiced using his fire magic and became strong.

Everyday, Magmar would look out west towards the ocean as the sun set. Citalia kept telling him that it wouldn't be forever, that they would one day return to Azuria with an armada behind them and take back the throne from their enemies.
