Background: Darkshade was born a male Angel Dragon. He has striped Black and gray fur, gray horns and light-gray eyes. Born on the planet Dragulon, Darkshade grew up in an orphanage. After he was born, his parents mysteriously disappeared.

As a kid, Darkshade liked to watch shows about space pilots and played with toy space crafts, pretending to be a fighter pilot. When he was ten, the orphanage got a welcome visit from a Dragulon Military Space Pilot. He was a male dark-green Dragon named Orys who was third generation in the Dragulon military. He arrived at the orphanage to see if any of the kids had what it took to be a fighter pilot.

Darkshade and the kids were shown a pilot simulator. Each kid took a turn at the simulator, but Darkshade outdid them all. Darkshade played the simulator all the way to level 20, while the rest of the kids only reached between levels 4-9. The head of the orphanage recommended Darkshade highly and Orys offered him the chance to be a fighter pilot.

The next day, Darkshade was enlisted in the Dragulon Galactic Military Academy. The Academy was located orbiting a moon near then planet Dragulon. At the academy, Darkshade studied in astronomy, Mechanics, Navigation, he even learned how to use blasters and studied military tactics.

Darkshade was in the flight simulators almost everyday. One thing Darkshade hated was having to wear the skin tight flight suit and helmet. He would always play with the helmet to get a comfy fit. When he was thirteen, Darkshade finally started flying his own fighter cruiser. He learned using the ships blasters and rocket launchers and was good at it.

Darkshade began doing field work by the time he was fifteen, Escorting and guarding cargo ships, government officials, anything of value to Dragulon or its allies. No matter what enemies came his way, Darkshade shot them all down. Not only was he given medals of honor, but Darkshade graduated the academy by the time he was sixteen.

When attending formal events, or banquets, Darkshade wore a military dress suit and tie. He found them to be more comfy than his flight space suit. The one thing he liked about the space suit was that it had room for his wings so he could fly in space. Darkshade rather enjoyed his life as a Space Pilot and planned to go on to be the best their was.
