Background: Draven was born in the wide-range Forest Mountains as a male Dragon. He had bright-green eyes, mixed green and beige skin and wings, brown and beige hair that went from his head to his tail and head horns.
Draven was born in a place called Outback Village. He grew up in an orphanage, abandoned by his parents when he was a baby. The orphanage Draven grew up in was broken down and could never get adopted like all the other children. When the Orphaned Children of the Outback Village we’re old enough, they were taken away by the Guards of the Capital Kingdom of Regalia. The kids were either adopted by a royal family or trained to be a knight or mage.
Draven would scour the streets for food and beg people for coin. When he was only Seven years old, Draven stole a loaf of bread from a local market. He continued stealing, until he got caught when he tried to steal from a traveler. The traveler was a male Ox, wearing light-leather gear. Draven felt scared of what the Ox might do, but instead, the Ox told Draven to be quiet and walked into town.
Draven watched as the Ox stole from villagers successfully. The Ox then asked Draven if he wanted to keep stealing from petty villagers, or go for bigger scores. The Ox introduced himself as Zale, who was a master thief. He offered Draven a choice to either stay in Outback Village, or go with him to the city of Ravine and learn to become a thief. Surprisingly, Draven accepted his offer.
Zale then put Draven on his horse and they road off out of Outback Village. Draven took in the sights of the hills, rivers, towns and Kingdoms as they traveled for several days. They then arrived at the city of Ravine that was atop of a hill. Once inside the city, Zale took Draven into the tunnels beneath Ravine. They entered the Cistern of the Thieves Guild. Zale gave Draven his own room and began training him to be a Thief.
Draven learned that the Lord of Ravine was also the head of the Thieves Guild and kept his authority through bribes and persuasion, and he also protected Thieves by making their Bounties disappear. Thieves were also able to sell stolen goods in Ravine.
Draven learned all about what it meant to be a thief. He learned how to pick pockets, pick locks, sneak, intimidate, persuade and how to be stealthy. As he got older, Draven learned how to fly and use his fire breath, which was green. He also developed an ability where he was Albe to breath out a unique smoke that was able to knock anyone unconscious. When Draven turned 14, Zale gave him a dagger, a slight-curved orange steel blade with a black leather hilt. It was enchanted to cut through wood, iron, metal and steel.
By the time he was 24, Draven was a skilled thief. The Guild offered jobs, places where they could steal from or be hired to frame someone. The first job Draven took was to steal a Jewel from a house in the city of Hardhome. The home was owned by a father and his young son. Draven used his sleep breath to knock them out, then he tied them both up and gagged them and locked them in the closet. He stole the Jewel and got paid well.
Draven made it a habit of tying up the people he robbed. He robbed from stores and inns all throughout the realm and picked the pockets of those who had lots of gold. After a few years of saving, Draven bought Crossroad Manor that was for sale in Ravine. When traveling to the cities, Villages, towns and kingdoms he stole from, he saw wanted posters of him wherever he went. He tore them down to lower his notoriety, but also bribed guards.
There were times when he got caught by City and kingdom guards when he had a high bounty on his head and was thrown in jail. The guards made sure to keep Draven well restrained and gagged, which he hated. Draven would struggle and muffle constantly to get free.
Draven was only able to escape from prison with outside help from his fellow thieves. Even though he developed a Greedy personality, Draven did care for his fellow thieves. Looking back, Draven remembered when he was a little boy who had nothing. Now, he was a grown man and had everything he every wanted, and it was all thanks to the art of thieving.
