White privilege? If that existed, why wouldn't more mixed race people try to pass themselves off as fully white instead of fully minority? Why would people like Elizabeth Warren, Chris-Chan, Jerry Peet "Lily Orchard", Sean King, or my own ancestors make false claims about non-European ancestry in their backgrounds?
It just doesn't make any sense, and casual observation of society shows preferential treatment of non-whites. Double standards always hurt people on both sides of them - if you're a diversity hire or affirmative action student, that'll always hang over you with the knowledge it wasn't your own actual merit that got you in. If you were actually qualified but might have been a diversity inclusion, that'll always hang over all your relationships within the field - co-workers, fellow students, everything. And of course if you're the one being discriminated against, that's even more obviously against you.
