Slowly opening her eyes, the woman on the operating table was gaining consciousness, her numbness slowly, but gradually receeding as her voice made a low grumble.
Suddenly, as if a sudden flash came back to her, she gasped and then let out a loud scream, remembering her life flashing before her eyes... When she stopped, she would pant in a scared manner, looking around her and noticing the Mori crest on their clothes. Her stressed head would soon give off a sharp pain along the side of her head.
"Ugh...how...how long... How long was I out? I remember there was an attempt at my life as well as Takeshi's... And then..."
"You were dead. For 10 years after Alexio's birth. Luckily we managed to enact the plan Takeshi made for you, but it took too long... We were lucky you ended up in a comatose state, otherwise we wouldn't have brought you back from the fatal gunshot wound to your head." One of the doctors explained the harsh facts to the woman as she begins to gain feeling in her body. Once able to move and stand properly, she would very carefully step towards a bathroom, looking at the mirror.
She could see a scar on the side of her head where she was shot. Horrified that she was actually dead for so long, she was afraid to ask if her daughter, Sofi, was under the harsh thrall of her firstborn son, Kyle. She then recalled speaking to Rush, as a young boy, and remembers that he promised to look after Sofi if Kyle was...also unfortunate.
"And my children, Sofi and Alexio. Are they safe? And what about Rush? That sweet child...the things I did with him..."
Before she began to tear up, the doctor immediately spoke.
"As promised, Rush is taking care of her. The two are married and have three kids."
The woman then widened her eyes in shock.
"Kids...? Am I a grandma? What about Alexio?"
Swiftly, the doctor responded.
"Alexio has been in the intensive care of the Mori household and is a young man of great influence and kindness. Would you like to make contact with anyone, Miss Mori?"
The woman would finally go into tears as she can see her beloved children, and the boy she was enamored with into handsome and beautiful adults... She would cry tears of joy as she bawled on the sink.
