I don't want to read it. I don't want to read any criticisms about this pencil---I know it's a Palomino, and I know what I've said about them, but...
Please know, I do not take back a single sentence, or a single word, syllable, consonant or vowel of what I said about Palomino before...
But for what it's worth, this isn't one of Palomino's 'knock-off' Blackwings, so the pencil featured here, this standard model, is perfectly acceptable for me to use and possess...
And it's good (unfortunately), like above-average good. :P
Anyway...
Our ACO subject is Manuelita, a turtle/tortoise character from Garcia Ferre's 1999 animated film 'Manuelita' (creative title, no?). ^^
The movie is far from obscure; as of writing, it's YouTube upload has 5.4-million views! Even so, I (an animation and funny-animal fan of 40 years) had never heard of this character prior to yestereve. :P
"Isa Cucinotta, co-curator of Rá-Tim-Bum Castle, said that Manuelita was as famous in Argentina as Winnie the Pooh was in the United States"
-Wikipedia
Well then ...I didn't know (albeit, I shared this with a furry friend from South America ...and they hadn't seen the movie, so I have suspicions)! XD
How'd I discover Manuelita?
Well, yesterday I'd ventured to the scrap heap to look at pencil stubs (and bought two big bags worth ...but I digress), and happened there upon a DVD of the Manuelita movie. The DVD was in hopeless condition (so I didn't buy it), but I made a note of its title and (upon my return home) sought for it on YouTube.
The movie is in Spanish/Portuguese (I'm too ignorant to know the difference). I didn't understand most of the dialogue, but I enjoyed the visuals---the character designs are (for the most part) very satisfying to look at (this, to me, is how 'Franklin' should've looked).
Expect to see more of these characters from me ...I like Abuelo (the grandfather turtle) and the unnamed fox boy seen in the film's 'story group' sequences. ^^
We shall see. You wouldn't like it. There's effectively no nudity or sex, no tickling or human characters---no Timmy or fetish stuff. It's about religion, fantasy technology, and so forth. There aren't even many cubs---most of the cast is between 20 and 40-something.
