We Made A Mudman!
Bluey!
Reading a Bedtime Story
"Doo do doo...Gonna see my friend today...." sang and danced Bandit as he reached in to the refrigerator and grabbed a tower of tubberware containers, "...Gonna watch the game. Oh yeah!"

"Woah! That's a lot of snacks dad!" awed Bingo as she walked into the kitchen, "*Gasp* Are was havin' a picnic today?!"

" 'fraid not kiddo." started Bandit as he carefully set the stack of snacks on the counter, "I'm having an old friend over and we're gonna watch the cricket match. He's never watched a match before so I'm gonna teach him how it's played."

"Ugh! But cricket is SO boring!" complained Bingo.

"Well maybe to you kids it is, but us grown ups love that boring stuff." replied Bandit as he started preparing some of the food, "You can have some of these snacks if you watch the match with us..."

"What?!" piped Bingo at the conditions behind getting some snacks.

"Hi dad! Hi Bingo!" greeted Bluey as she also walked into the kitchen, "OOoo...snackies!"

"Bluey! Dad won't share the snacks unless we watch the cricket match with him and his friend!" shouted Bingo.

"What!?" squeaked Bluey, "You better share your snacks you cheeky dad!"

"I am!....As long as you two sit nice and quiet and watch the match with me and my friend." replied Bandit, "...or you could just play in the attic until he's gone."

"What?!" Squeaked Bluey yet again.

"This is outrageous!" echoed Bingo.

"Ah, I'm just teasin' you lot." giggled Bandit as he handed the girls a snack, "Well the attic part at least. Here, have a pig in a blanket."

The girls hopped up on the barstools next to the island and munched on their snack.

"Who is you friend that's coming over and how comes he doesn't know how to play cricket? I thought all dads knew how to play that BoRiNg game?" asked Bingo in-between bites.

"Well his name is Mike and the reason he doesn't know how to play is because he's not from around here. In fact, he's from a far away place called America." explained Bandit.

"What's a America?" asked Bingo.

"Oh I knows! I learned about it a school! America is a far away place where all our sweets come from and the weather is backwards" explained Bluey.

"Not exactly Bluey..." started Bandit as he grabbed a small world map off of the refrigerator, "*Chuckles* Well I guess that's pretty accurate Bluey. *Points to the USA on the map* Mr Mike is from AAllll the way over here."

"OOooo..." awed the girls.

"That's really fars away." Commented Bingo, "Why is he coming all the way over here?"

"He had a work thing that brought him to Brisbane and he's taking an extra few days to see the country." explained Bandit.

"Wait, how do you know some one from AALlll the way over there?!" inquired Bluey as she pointed on the map.

"*Chuckles* We met at school a long time ago mate and have kept in touch ever since." said Bandit as he grabbed the snacks and headed for the living room, "Now make way, they'll be here soon."

"They!?" shouted the girls as they followed their dad, "Who else is coming?"

"Hm, oh! Mike brought his family with him on this trip." started Bandit as he laid out the snacks, "Though he's just bringing one of his kiddos over today. I think he's around your age Bingo. Aithen...Cody...Caleb! Yeah, Caleb is his name. His wife and other kid are doing something else today."

"*Gasp!* We're gonna have someone to play with?!" squealed Bluey, "For real life?!"

"For real life kiddo. Now you both don't have to watch that boring old cricket match with your dad." replied Bandit, "But you still gotta stay in the attic."

"DDaaDDddd....!" whined the girls.

"Haha, I'm just teasin' *DING**DONG*" said Bandit before being interrupted by the doorbell, "That must be them."

"We'll get it! We'll get it!" exclaimed Bluey and Bingo as they rushed to the door and flung it open.

"Oh! Hi there. You must be Bluey and you must be Bingo..." greeted Mike.

Mike was holding his son in his arms as he was fast asleep. His son was only sporting a diaper.

"No I'm Bluey and this is my sister Bingo!" corrected Bluey loudly as the tot rustled in his father's arms.

"Alright girls settle down." said Bandit as he walked over, "Can't you see little Caleb is trying to sleep."

"Caiden." corrected Mike politely.

"Huh?" asked Bandit back.

"Caiden is my son's name, not Caleb." repeated Mike.

"Oh, yeah. That's what I meant." replied Bandit as the girls snickered "Well come on in."

Mike entered the Heeler house while carrying Caiden.

"Hey, do you mind if I lay Caiden down somewhere for a little bit?" asked Mike to Bandit.

"Oh of course mate. He can snooze in Bluey's and Bingo's room." answered Bandit as he lead Mike to the room.

The men came back downstairs shortly after and were greeted by Bluey and Bingo.

"So you've already met Bluey and Bingo." said Bandit to Mike before turning to the girls, "This is Mr. Mike."

"Hi!" greeted the girls.

"How comes Caiden is sleepin' right now Mr. Mike? Is it his day sleep time?" asked Bingo.

"Yeah?! Also why does he only have a nappy on and no clothes?" asked Bluey.

"*laughs* Well not exactly. Caiden is just not used to the time difference yet so he gets really sleepy during the day sometimes. Also it's winter back where we're from so he's not used to the warm weather here. Which is why he's only wearing his nappy right now." explained Mike.

"Alright girls, Mr. Mike and I are going to go watch the match." announced Bandit to the girls dismay.

"Aw, but what are we gonna do?" asked Bluey.

"You lot can go play in the playroom. I'm sure Caiden will be up eventually and he'll play with you." answered Bandit, "....Or you could come watch the match with us....or get locked in the attic."

"Ahh!" shouted the sisters as they ran off to the playroom.

"So I read the rules online on the way over and it turns out....cricket is nothing like baseball." laughed Mike as he sat on the couch.

"Ah, don't you worry. I'll have you spun up before the games over." assured Bandit as the two grown ups watched the game.

About half an hour passed by and the adults were watching the game and Bluey and Bingo were in the playroom playing nail salon.  Meanwhile in the girl's bedroom, Caiden had just woken up from his nap. He groggily rolled out of bed and made his way down the hall and downstairs while dragging the blanket he was sleeping with. Caiden heard noise coming from the playroom so he went to investigate. He turned the corner and met eyes with a blue and an orange puppies.

"Hi there!" said Bluey as she rushed towards the tot, "I'm Bluey and this is my sister!"

"Hello, I'm Bingo." introduced Bingo.

"I-I'm Caiden..." stammered Caiden as he was a little startled by how upfront they were and clutched the blanket.

"Aw don't be scared. We're super nice and fun." assured Bluey as Caiden calmed a bit.

"Aren't you colds wearin' no clothes?" asked Bingo inquisitively.

"I'm not nakie..." answered Caiden confused as he looked down and quickly covered himself in the blanket.

"You almost are. You're just wearin' a nappy." pointed out Bingo.

"I'm not takin' a nap right now....I'm awakes now." said Caiden confused yet again.

"No no, she means that you're only wearing a nappy. Not that you were having your sleep." explained Bluey.

"I'm not wearin' a nap time...I'm wearing a diaper...an' I'm awakes now..." replied Caiden even more confused.

"This is hopeless!" exclaimed Bingo in frustration.

"*giggles* No Caiden, This is called a nappy." explained Bluey as she pulled back the blanket and pointed to Caiden's diaper.

"OOooohhh....That's my diaper...not a nappy." giggled Caiden, "You guys talk funny."

"We do not!" piped Bluey.

"Yeah! You talks funny!" added Bingo.

"I do not!" argued Caiden.

"Ok ok, maybe we all talk a little funny. Why don't we play a game instead?" suggested Bluey as she noticed things were getting a little tense.

"Yeah!" cheered Bingo.

"What are we gonna play?" asked Caiden as his tail wagged.

"HHmmMMmm....How about butterflies?" suggested Bluey.

"That sounds fun! How do we play?" asked Caiden excitedly.

"It's easy! We'll teach you. Come on! Let's go outside!" said Bingo as she led Caiden by the hand to the backyard..

Caiden, Bluey, and Bingo ran outside and played butterflies. Bingo was chosen to be the butterfly first. She started out as a caterpillar and inched her way to the swing. Once she jumped out of the swing, or cocoon, she was a beautiful butterfly. She had to watch out for the butterfly catchers though! Caiden and Bluey chased Bingo around the yard until they caught her. The kids had a blast as they rotated roles. Eventually the game got kind of old and they went back to the playroom.

"What are we gonna play now?" asked Caiden as he plopped on the ground.

"How about....Mums and Dads!" suggested Bingo.

"Yeah! Mums and dads!" jumped Bluey.

"What's mums an dads?" asked Caiden.

"It's easy! I'll be the mum and....Bingo you wanna be the dad?" asked Bluey to Bingo who was already in the costume chest and wearing a fake mustache.

"You got it babe!" replied Bingo with a funny deep voice.

"Who do I get to play...?" asked Caiden with anticipation.

"You'll see..." Giggled Bluey and Bingo as they closed in on Caiden.

"I gotta tell you Bandit....I still don't understand this game." laughed Mike as he and Bandit headed into the playroom to check on the kids.

"Ah, you'll get it. Hey, maybe one day you can teach me baseball or your American football." suggested Bandit.

"You got it- what do we have here?" asked Mike as they turned the corner to find the kids playing.

Caiden was laying in a tiny baby carriage and wearing a baby bonnet and sucking on a pacifier. He had a scowl on his face while being flaked by Bluey and Bingo. Caiden spit the pacifier out of his mouth in retaliation.

"Aw what a cheeky baby." chided Bluey as she fetched the pacifier.

"I think the baby wants his rattle babe." said Bingo in her daddy voice.

"What are you kiddos up to?" asked Bandit as he interrupted their play.

"We're playing mums and dads!" answered Bingo.

"Daddy!" said Caiden as he held his arms out to be picked up.

"Hey buddy. You having fun?" asked Mike as he picked up his son.

"Uh huh! Uh huh!....Well 'cept for when I gotta be da baby." replied Caiden.

"Well I'm sure they'll play something different if you ask." suggested Mike as Caiden turned to the girls.

"Yeah! We jus thought you wanted to be the baby cause you're already wearin' the nappy." explained Bingo.

"Speaking of nappies, I think it may be time to change a certain someone's nappy." said Mike as Caiden blushed and the girls giggled.

"While they take care of that, why don't you girls come help me eat some of these snacks and they can join us when they're done?" said Bandit to the girls.

"Hooray!" shouted the girls as they rushed to the den.

Mike took Caiden to the bathroom and got him changed and returned him downstairs. Caiden and Mike hung out with the Heelers the rest of the day and played many different games. At dusk they said their goodbyes and headed their separate ways with the hopes they'd see each other again soon.
