Timon, trudging along the parched floor of the Gorge, whimpers with desperation, “Home sweet home, Pumbaa! What this place lacks in water and shade, it makes up for with searing heat and blinding sunshine.”
Kitako, sensing Timon’s distress, reassures him, “Don’t worry, Timon. There’s gotta be some caves around here somewhere.”
Suddenly, the ground begins to rumble, causing Mkundu to exclaim, “Duba? What is it?”
Duba responds, “Do you feel that?”
As the rumbling intensifies, Piglet asks Pooh, “Is that a rumbly in your tummy, Pooh?”
Pooh dismisses the idea, “I don’t think so, Piglet.”
Before they can react, birds flock into the air from the gorge’s rim, and wildebeests pour over the edge, rapidly approaching Pooh and his friends, including three lionesses, Timon, and Pumbaa, in a massive stampede.
Kitako urges them to flee, “Go! Go! Go!”
They take off running for their lives, but Timon and Pumbaa remain stationary. Duba intervenes, “Timon, Pumbaa, come on!”
Pumbaa responds with a graceful and leisurely air, “Shall we run for our lives?”
Duba panics, “Yeah, no kidding!”
Duba grabs Timon and Pumbaa and takes them off, running in front of the enormous herd of wildebeests. They end up atop one wildebeest’s head, while Pooh and his friends are securely on the backs of three lionesses.
As the herd separates before them, they spot a cliff’s edge. Kitako shouts, “Hang on, everybody!”
Timon exclaims, “This is it! Goodbye, cruel world!”
The wildebeest screeches to a sudden halt at the cliff’s edge, causing Pooh and his friends, three lionesses, Pumbaa, and Timon, to plummet in slow motion, their screams echoing through the air. After a series of midair tumbles, they gracefully splash into a slow-moving river. Timon stands atop Pumbaa’s broad back.
Mkundu, concerned, asks, “Is everyone alright?”
Timon responds with a dismissive scoff, “That’s it? Pbbb. That wasn’t so bad. You can’t knock old Timon down that easily! Bring it on!”
Pooh’s curiosity piqued, he points towards a growing roar of rushing water, revealing that they are approaching the precipice of a towering waterfall.
Timon, momentarily taken aback, poses a peculiar question to Pumbaa, “Uh… Pumbaa? Is it possible to fall off the edge of the Earth?”
Pumbaa, momentarily caught off guard, responds with a thoughtful explanation, “Uh, technically, no. The Earth is shaped like a sphere, Timon, so it doesn’t have an edge.”
The camera pans back, revealing the absurdly high waterfall, its cascading waters creating a breathtaking spectacle.
Kitako, sensing the impending danger, instructs everyone to hold their breath and grasp their hands tightly.
(ALL SHARPLY INHALE)
As they plummet over the edge, Timon and Pumbaa are both filled with a primal scream. In the midst of their fall, Pumbaa, in a surprising twist, pauses the movie, returning to the silhouettes of the characters.
Pumbaa, with a playful glint in his eyes, asks, “Do you mind if I pause it for a second?”
Timon, without hesitation, replies, “Sure, go ahead.”
Pumbaa, with a mischievous grin, adds, “Be right back!”
Timon cracks his neck in one direction and then the other, grunting. As Pumbaa clatters off-screen, Timon scratches behind his ear, sniffs, hums “It’s a Small World After All,” and casually picks his nose. Just as the popping of a popcorn popper ceases, Timon pulls out a large booger, which squishes between his fingertips. He gasps as he realizes Pumbaa is returning. He frantically searches for a tissue; seeing none, he attempts to shake it off his hand and then to flick it off. Finally, he wipes it on the seat just as Pumbaa returns with a large bag of bugs.
Pumbaa: Okay, I got the jumbo so we could share. {He pauses for a moment, as he notices Timon is simply sitting there motionless.} Were you just picking your nose?
Timon: {Indignantly} No, I had an itch on the inside!
{He grabs some bugs and devours them, then clicks the remote. The movie resumes with Pooh and his friends, three lionesses, Timon, and Pumbaa, plummeting down the waterfall and screaming.}
