It's a lot of damn characters that I have. Of course that doesn't include many other characters like the frog family next door to the Wolfes, Abby's mom or dad, or the parents of Todd/Bella, Lin and Rin, etc. .... I really should try to go back through all of my stories and make a list of all characters that I've created and just make a list to see just how many I've made, I bet it would be close to 150 or more XD

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm sure I've said it before, but I started this spreadsheet because I couldn't remember how old Fang, Vapor, Onai and Luna were in the first 2, 3 or 4 stories (maybe 5, I don't know)... I remember having Onai and Luna 10 months old but they were talking or walking like toddlers, or I had them a year older than they actually were and the same for F&V XD It was a mess until I made that spreadsheet.

The original spreadsheet was kind of a PITA since I had to manually figure out and input their ages (just like 10 years old, or 11, etc.) I then looked into formulas to automate the ages, that took a month or two to figure out. Then I needed to go deeper into the ages, for months like 10 years 3 months. So I had to figure out how to modify the formula to do Years and months, that took another 2 or 3 months, BUT while I was looking around, I found the "perfect" formula, but I decided to modify it a little more. So it now does Years, months and/or days but also does "nb" for new born and "-" for cells that come before a character was born.

The formula that I currently use is this monstrosity:

=IFERROR(IF($G$3>$D6,"-",IF($G$3=$D6,"NB",DATEDIF($G$3,$D6,"y")&"y "&DATEDIF($G$3,$D6,"ym")&"m "&DATEDIF($G$3,$D6,"md")&"d")),"")

How the hell anyone figured that out is beyond me, but I'm glad that they did XD

Once I found that formula, it still took about 2 weeks to a month to get it working like I wanted. It was not easy nor fun, but it's been worth the pain, stress and all the tears XD

That's how I remember it anyway, I could be wrong on time lengths or other stuff, but it's pretty damn close. lol

Damn, crazy formula. I have a similar system, but I use the Vlookup function. It basically requires a database in the backend, but it gives a pretty clean look up front.

I have enough issues trying to keep up with what I have. I don't need extra stuff. I did look at Vlookup for a moment but didn't really understand it, iirc.
