A female kangaroo anthro entered the potion shop on a warm sunny day. She put her hands against her fur as she glanced around. She wished women's pants had pockets. If they did, she'd wear them with no hesitation. She was grateful she had a pouch as a roo, but she didn't like to store things in it. She carried a purse with her name engraved in fake silver, Alyssa.
A male tanuki sat at the counter and gave her a friendly wave. "Hello there and welcome to my store. Are there any potions you are interested in purchasing today?"
Alyssa had her doubts the potion store was 'truly' what it claimed to be. She imagined it to be like one of the essential oil stores where the claim was much bigger than what the product actually did. "Yeah, sure. I'd love a potion that allows me to grow ten times my size. I want to go from six feet, to sixty feet. I want my paws to be so massive I can crush cars." She spoke in a sarcastic manner.
The tanuki rolled his eyes at Alyssa's comment. "I can tell you are in disbelief. Well, the growth potions are on the bottom shelf, second row. We're having a... 'Huge' sale on them, so by all means, if you are willing to spend the money, buy one and try it yourself."
Alyssa walked over to where the tanuki mentioned. She pulled out a vial that looked as if it was an old-fashioned potion, complete with cork over the bottle. There was a 'G' on the glass of the red colored concoction. She walked up to the counter and set it down. "So if it doesn't work, am I able to get like, a full refund or something?" She was aware that she could sue businesses that falsely advertised for a lot of money. She figured that not many people must have known that fact.
"Yes, of course." The tanuki said. "I can even give you a receipt if you're so willing to not believe. Yet, I'm surprised you're willing to pay if you don't believe. Do you really want to be a giant?"
Alyssa glared at the tanuki while she paid with her credit card. She was tempted to claim fraud on the purchase when she bought it and found out the potion didn't work. She wasn't the type to be rude, but she had a bad day. Of course, the idea of being a giant excited her. She'd love to just forget her old life and live one anew where she was bigger than the whole world. The problems the world had wouldn't matter when she was bigger than the planet itself. "Just sell me the potion." Once she paid, she got out of the hot and muggy shop back into the warm sunny day outside.
Alyssa popped open the potion upon leaving the premises. She leaned down and took a whiff. "Strawberries?" She asked herself. With a shrug, she downed the potion. The potion tasted just like it smelled. It wasn't a bad taste, and since there wasn't much in there, she just drank the entire thing and then set the vial in her purse.
Alyssa hopped away and made her way back to her car. She parked her car in a parking garage just a few blocks away. "I guess it tasted good at least." She said to herself, and then suddenly hiccupped. The moment Alyssa hiccupped; she felt a brief sense of vertigo. She hiccupped so strongly that it sent her a good two feet in the air and sent her back down on her rear. She put her hand on her head with a dazed look. "Whew...that's strong." Her body felt strange. She looked down at her bare roo feet, and then the rest of her body. Nothing about her looked different, but her purse felt smaller.
Alyssa stood back up and brushed herself off. "That felt so..." She paused as she hiccupped once again. There was another brief feeling of vertigo, but it wasn't as bad as before. She felt dizzy and hot. Her purse hugged against her arm tighter, as if the loop constricted her blood flow. "I swear, if that potion shop poisoned me, I'm going to sue it for every last cent." She hiccupped and fell back on the sidewalk. "Ack!"
Alyssa had hiccups before, but they were never this strong. She thought it was strange that they were so powerful that they sent her back on her rear. She pulled herself back up, and then turned to the building. She noticed the entrance to the building looked much smaller than she remembered. She then looked around and saw that, even the people around her looked smaller. She guessed she was a good twelve feet tall, if not larger, and she then realized what happened. "Oh, sh..." She hiccupped again and grew once more. Her purse was so small compared to the rest of her body that she couldn't carry it around her arm anymore and had to carry it in her hand. It felt more like a toy purse, and with every hiccup, the purse got smaller in her hands.
Alyssa turned to the building and noticed she was now so tall that she could see her reflection in the glass. The door was nowhere in sight unless she looked down. She saw her short yellow hair in her eyesight, as well as her red shirt. She grabbed her chest with one hand, and then reached out with the other. "Woah...that potion really did work." She wasn't sure how tall she was now. She'd guess in the upwards of twenty feet, and she was still growing, and growing rapidly now. Her hiccups were gone, but it didn't change how she grew.
Alyssa's purse was so small that she couldn't even dig a finger in it anymore as she continued her growing. Thirty feet, forty feet, she grew just as big as she joked to be and measured sixty feet in height. Her shirt somehow magically grew with her, and she wasn't going to complain about that.
She glanced to the left and to the right of her. She no doubt had the attention of the city and people with her newfound height. She looked worried at first, but then it turned into a smile. "I...I really don't have to worry about all those little things going on anymore." She said to herself. Her white and brown tail was so massive that it could dent buildings, while her massive paws could crush cars. She was bigger than many buildings themselves! She turned back to the potion shop, and grinned.
"I've got to see if I can get even bigger!"
