I started watching Count Duckula, again, a few days ago, after finding all of the episodes on YouTube and it reminded me of a character I had made for the series, back in 2007-2008-ish... and how unoriginal she was!
I used to watch this show when I was a kid and pretty much still love it now x3
So, I decided to give her a complete makeover and name change, in order to make her more interesting (and not just a recolour/female version of Duckula himself, which was what her old design was like x3;)
Name: Beatrice Albesca Nickname: Bea (pronounced 'bee', by parents) and 'Honey Bee' (by Matthias) DOB/POB: 25th October/Brașov, Transylvania Breed: Hen (female duck) Family: Luca and Corina Albescu (parents); Luca works as a blacksmith whilst Corina works as a farmer, Matthias Duckula (husband) and Finnius Duckula (son) Occupation: Barmaid at Ye Tooth and Jugular Inn Personality: Beatrice is a humble and generous barmaid who spends most of her time working at Ye Tooth and Jugular inn, in Brașov, Transylvania. Despite still working as a barmaid, Beatrice has often wished to live a more fulfilling life as a historian, but lacks the funds to do so.
Story: Since Beatrice was a child, her parents often lectured her on her family's tired old tradition of working as servants. As such, Beatrice often turns to her books on the history of Transylvania whenever she's bored.
One day as she was serving mead at the inn, as usual, Beatrice noticed a mallard enter and became confused as to why everyone within the building had left in such a hurry. The mallard expressed his frustration with the event, mentioning that it had happened to him before and Beatrice questioned his claim as she offered him a mug of mead.
After talking to the young mallard, Beatrice was shocked to find out that the duck she was talking to was none other than Count Duckula, the vampire who lived in the castle up in the mountains. As she backed away from the mallard in fear, Beatrice was told not to worry as the Count told her about his TRUE nature of being a vegetarian and that it was only his ancestors that were blood-suckers.
After hearing about the meeting with Count Duckula, Beatrice's father warned his daughter to keep away from the mallard, knowing about his previous ancestry, but Beatrice ignored this and she often snuck off at night, in disguise, and met up with The Count once again, as he snuck out of the castle at night, in disguise also.
The Count kept his encounter with Beatrice a secret from his servants, knowing that Igor would suggest sinking his teeth into her instead and Nanny would keep on gushing over him.
Likes: The outdoors, drinking/serving mead, Count Duckula and reading history books Dislikes: Her parents' lectures, being leered at by drunken men and the dark
