Which is reflective of the biggest irony in all of this: Raccoon cousins Sam and Alfred remain allergic to peaches as grown-up procyonines; the former turned 19 last holiday season. No wonder the likes of this critter are their nemesis in occasional breaktime scribbles at the Briarwood apartment complex in Panama City, FL--home studio of Kino Lorber's Reflections visual-album series (a de facto replacement for the weekend get-togethers their buddies at Marigot, Dominica's Adanson Manse used to hold).

Long, long story as to why we've gone six and a half years without a single IB upload--not helped by the ongoing struggle to bring what was once Marigot Magic to life in the years since. (Marigot Magic, for those wondering whether I'm still around in any capacity anywhere, was a NaNoWriMo "winner" in 2012 and rebranded as Unspooled in late 2017. Six tentative volumes of the resulting series are in the works, concurrent with my other longtime pet projects [among them The Sevton Saga, from which sprang forth a conlang now called Tovasala, né Relformaide; this piece's title translates to momoƒsibande there].)
