Character Sheet for Cinnamon Hazelnut
Character Description
Cinnamon is among the first characters I've ever created, starting on September 7, 2011. She's stood out among the rest for being closer to someone you'd see in real life. While I don't entirely recall my inspiration for her creation, she's remained relevant in my cast all these years and has continued to be one I use regularly in storytelling and roleplaying.
Her personality is very easy for me to act out yet she is also meant to have a vast intellect, which is something I struggle to put forward.
Personality
Cinnamon is kind, gentle, intelligent, scholarly, and very polite. She will address you with "Mr." or "Ms." or "Mrs." unless asked not to, and will curtsy to greet you for the first time. She is very motherly and is incredible around children.
Cinnamon is extremely smart and studious, can be quiet and sometimes lost in thought as she works out problems.
On the flip side, she enjoys romance and love, but can be a little awkward when attempting it herself. She finds it easiest to do around Kyle as he's very accepting of her motions and is often rewarded for her gestures by him.

Background/History

Cinnamon Hazelnut is a Yoshi born on Ioa, yet grew up on Yoshi's Island. She then lived within the Mushroom Kingdom attending school, and lived in the human world for a short time to attend college, before moving to the Aunov to live with her friends. She enjoys reading, learning, and solving intense or incredibly hard problems. In short, she loves putting her brain to work or having knowing as much as possible, something she was often commented on when growing up: she was exceptionally smart. Her grades were always high in school and was always at the top of her class. She was a model student too, able to help her fellow peers when they needed it, which helped her become popular, although she is not very sociable. She tends to be somewhat shy and not very talkative, yet when it came to learning something new, you would almost always see her taking plenty of notes or asking plenty of questions, as she was able to learn new skills or concepts quickly. The highest of classes she took in middle and high school were always given to her, and her averages were always high.
She mostly attended schools in the Mushroom Kingdom, but was able to travel to the human world to experience their schools as well; this allowed her to live near Kye and meet him for the first time and attend school together for a short time. It was also here that she first developed feelings for the green streak, despite him not really being interested in relationships at the time. She does enjoy romance but often finds it hard to find out how to convey her feelings without coming off as awkward. When Kye and all his friends moved to Ioa to live in the kingdom after he found out that was his actual home, she was able to join in shortly after moving.
Cinnamon now resides at the Silver Tower with everyone, yet she now mainly stays with Kyle and his friends instead, and helps serve the Royal Family as their Librarian; she also spends most of her time in the Tower's library, reading books from cover to cover. She can either read them slowly and take in every detail, or do so regularly but at a quicker pace than most would be able to. Yet, since staying with Kyle and the others, she has started showing more signs of sociability and charisma, wanting to try things that they do, one of them included turning herself into a Softie, and experience Pokémon and go on an adventure with them, something she was able to do early in 2019 thanks to the exhibition to Kanto that brought in Chocolate; a Trainer looked to trade an Alolan Raichu for a Kantonian one in Saffron City, which allowed her to officially become known as a Trainer with that Alolan Raichu, Pancake.
Unseen in this picture is her new ability with psychic powers. This was achieved when she was threatened during an outing with her friends, and thanks to the amount of magic that makes up Ioa, it aligned with her mind to give her psychic abilities, which allowed her to defend herself. She now uses these powers to fight with her friends with needed, although she tends to use them more to do work around the Tower, and still doesn't see herself as a good fighter; she is still learning to completely hone those powers.
Relatives/Family
Cinnamon lives with multiple friends, the closest being Kyle and Simon. Together, they help to take care of a couple of children under his supervision: runaway twins Junior and Rainbow, illegal genetic experiment Oink-Oink, and Dot, solo Destroyer of Ecruteak Gym.
She also personally cares for Ein, a Kangashkan child of a Mega-Evolved Kangaskhan.
World/Setting
Cinnamon currently lives in the Silver Tower, home of the Royal Family of Aunov, as an honorary resident.
The Silver Tower is a 30-story high tower developed and built by the King of Aunov, on the southern side of Light City, the nation's capital. North faces the hills and mountains, while south goes to smaller Light Town and its coastline to the sea.
Aunov is one of multiple countries on the planetoid Ioa, which (currently) revolves around the Mushroom Planet, home to the legendary Super Mario. Aunov is Ioa's most populous nation, but not its largest.
Ioa is a magic-based planetoid that takes most of its make-up and properties from the Mushroom Planet, formed and created years ago by the King's great-grandmother.
Body
Cinnamon has primarily light brown skin with a cream as a secondary skin color that runs from her cheeks down her chest and tummy and under to the tip of her tail. Her eyes are dark brown, and the top and bottom head scale is a shade of brown between the two. Her middle head scale is a full rainbow, starting from pink at the top to purple at the bottom.
The Rainbow Scale, while lacking in background, is a magical part of the body that "saves" forms that come in contact with it. This allows Cinnamon to transform into those forms at will and back again, while also gaining some of the powers of the original, if applicable. Currently, she can turn into an Alolan Raichu and Kangaskhan. Whatever form she "saves" and becomes, there is always a rainbow present somewhere on her body.
She is also known to many Ioans as a Softie, a term used to describe a being who's body displays malleable properties. As such, Cinnamon's body can be kneaded, shaped, flattened, and inflated among others. Being a Softie introduces a new set of perks when it comes to danger, but also weaknesses too. For example, being crushed doesn't harm the Yoshi, but it means she's now flat and may require assistance moving.
A Softie's body is naturally very clean and that comes from the absence of standard body parts and the place of artificial ones that act on their behalf. In other words, a Softie doesn't have bones or internal organs, the body just acts like it does. Their bodies also mimic a different malleable material in looks and texture and gives off a special scent depending on the person. For Cinnamon, she mimics cinnamon rolls and icing.
This also means she is susceptive to having parts of his body detached, which includes the Rainbow Scale; having that removed, regardless of form, prevents Cinnamon from switching forms until it's put back on.
Clothing
Like most Yoshis, Cinnamon's wardrobe is relatively minimal, although she will not shy away from nice outfits such as dresses. Regularly though, she has a few pairs of common Yoshi boots in a variety of colors but will usually wear her dress heels. The only other common article of clothing she wears however is a pink hooded jacket, shown unzipped.
Accessories
Cinnamon tends to accessorize more than dress up. From the top, Cinnamon is almost always seen with her prescription glasses, which are frameless and rectangular, held together with a black bridge piece; they also are propped up on her nose.
The least likely of her accessory choices is a collar similar in fashion to Kyle. She also has multiple colors of these, mainly in brown, green, and cream, yet they all have a place to attach the collar tag, which is a circular shape in gold bearing the symbol of an open book (and eagle-eyed viewers might be able to see where it comes from), as well as the silver version of Aunov's Royal Family.
Alternatively, Cinnamon might opt to wear a pink ribbon around her waist held together with a golden ring and tied behind her back into a large bow that she pairs with her dress heels. This is her most common outfit and will also use a head scale version of the Royal Family emblem on her middle scale.
All of her outfits also include her smartwatch that she wears on her right wrist, which is also gold. Similar to another well-known and popular smartwatch, the bands of the timepiece can be removed from the body and swapped out. Not only does she have them in matching colors to her boots and collars, but she also has an indigo version she wears exclusively with her ribbon, and a light pink to pair with her jacket.
