I can't actually see FurAffinity's announcement regarding the Capitol Hill incident, but this seems roughly in character (if you remove the self-aware bits, of course).

Seriously, they've been actively actively supporting every evil thing the Black Lives Matter rioters do as "justified" for months on end while pretending that drawings of Nazis depicted as villains will somehow glorify and embolden neo-Nazis.

Leftist ideologues have been sitting around waiting for someone right of center to mess up for five years straight, and intentionally construing left on left violence (like Charlottesville) as having right-wing agitators every time, when not just outright fabricating things (Jussie Smollett).

Yeah, my guess mainly overshot as a side effect of being too self-aware. That's a pretty short message from FA staff; too bad almost every sentence of it is a lie or a hypocritical double standard.

FurAffinity now is banning stuff "dangerous to public safety" such as "covid misinformation", "anti-vaccination" and QAnon effective February 15th.

Apparently Dragoneer borrowed himself into considerable debt to buy full ownership of the site back from IMVU, whom he sold it to a couple years ago because he was desperate for money from running the site at a loss...

As well as his other well-publicized spending habits, of course.
