Simple but true.

Conservatives, especially Republicans, have been wrong on a few things. Usually weakness, refusal to live up to the principles they espouse, hypocrisy, and sanctimonious posturing.

Liberals, especially Democrats, have always been worse. The above, plus slavery, killing children, racist segregation, openly calling for robbery, or doing the same bad things but even harder and faster. The one advantage is they tend to be more open about their actual terrible beliefs.

The political right wing isn't a cult the way the left is. The right is literally people with common sense, the left is people who are either evil or legit retarded and easily lead, and centrists/"moderates" like you're trying to come across are massively ignorant of the game being played and what's at stake. Sooner or later the left is going to declare you an extreme right-winger no matter how much gay porn you commission, no matter how much you eat soy instead of meat, no matter how little you litter or pollute, no matter how much you justify abortion, etc. - you can never be pure enough for them, and they will be out for your blood.
