Dear diary:

It’s hard to believe but Drake has been amazing after evolving. All the confidence he had lost is now back and now is a fierce fighter. Just this morning a guy challenged us and Drake managed to win against his whole party! And he even had some water pokémon! I’m really amazed for that. Lucian seems to be a bit jealous that I’m using more Drake as a partner in the battles…. But, you know? There’s a reason why I do it besides wanting to make Drake stronger. I really don’t want Lucian to get hurt. I just… well… LOVE him too much like to leave him wounded. But I know that’d make him feel blue so I’ll be partnering him more from now on… Oh! Seems like I have a call Diary…

Draco

Draco picked up the Xtransciever and the image of Professor Darcy showed up.

“Hi Draco how are things going?” smiled the cheetah.

“Fine professor, I had an encounter with Stuart again but we managed to beat him down” smiled widely Draco “I guess I did what I promised… but he seemed to be so angry that he ordered Rampardos to attack me.”

“Oh my god! Are you fine? Any wounds?” worried Professor Darcy.

“Don’t worry professor” said Draco winking “I had some little help apparently from a Darkrai.

“A DARKRAI?!” shouted Professor Darcy standing up and making a loud noise when she crashed against the desk.

“Yes professor, just like you heard. Lucian, Drake and I managed to spot at him while he was running away” said Draco.

“Oh! Well, that just seems to be good” sighed the professor “Like I said you have something haha!”

“Don’t say that” blushed Draco and he remembered that last time he talked to her, Drake was still a Dralit “Oh! By the way, wanna have another shock?”

“What you…” started Professor Darcy but Draco aimed the camera of the Xtransciever to where Drake and Lucian were resting “FOR ARCEUS! He evolved?!”

“Yes professor, while fighting against Stuart, Drake evolved into a Firegon and managed to beat down Rampardos with the help of Lucian.”

“Well, that’s just good” smiled Professor Darcy “And may I know where are you going now?”

“We are about to enter Wellspring cave” said Draco showing the entrance to the cave. A dark and hollowed hole “After that we hope to get to Clashton so I can challenge Noah, the next Gym leader.”

“That’s good Draco…” said Professor Darcy “Oh! By the way have you had any notices from Katy?”

“No professor, we didn’t exchange numbers last time” said Draco scratching the back of his head.

“Well, I happened to get in touch with her just last day and she said that Clashton Gym was almost unbeatable” said the cheetah.

“You mean she was defeated?!” shouted Draco.

“Yes… Noah pulverized her pokémon in a few minutes” said Professor Darcy.

“Wow… I didn’t expected that” said Draco looking at the cave “You think I might need the help of another pokémon professor?”

“Maybe a psychic type or a flying type could be useful” said Professor Darcy “But even though she had a Taillow, she was defeated.”

“Well, Lucian has the ability to use psychic powers” said thoughtful Draco “maybe we can made it thru that battle with that.”

“Why don’t you try to teach Drake a flying attack? I bet he still knows growl and scratch, right?” asked Professor Darcy.

“But I don’t know how to teach him that kind of attacks…” said Draco worried “I only know how to breed pokémon with different attacks…”

“Well, there should be a pokémon center before the entrance of the cave, hidden in the rocks” said Professor Darcy and Draco spotted it.

“Yes… I see it” nodded Draco.

“Well, go there and I’ll send you some help ok? Check the PC” smiled Professor Darcy.

“Ok professor, thanks very much” thanked Draco and ended the communication “Ok guys, time to go!”

Lucian and Drake stood up and went next to Draco. Drake seemed to like the quadruped stance since he used it more than the biped one. They went to the pokémon center and after being received politely by nurse Joy, they went right to the PC. Draco checked the item storage and found a disk within.

“What in the blazes is this?” asked Draco taking out the disk that materialized in the chamber next to the PC.

“That’s a Technical Machine” smiled nurse Joy “Some trainers use them to teach their pokémon new attacks. This one specifically its ‘aerial ace’ it will teach one of your pokémon that attack.”

“Aerial ace…” murmured Draco “That’s what the professor meant by help!”

“Seems like she wants you to teach Drake that attack” said Lucian thinking.

“You wanna learn this attack Drake?” asked Draco and the dragon seemed to have his doubts.

“I know… You’re quite not sure of it right?” said Draco smiling “Don’t worry, I won’t use it unless you want me to, ok?”

Drake nodded and Draco smiled at him. His friend was now huge in comparison with his previous stage, but he was for sure still a kid.

“Then that means we fight against this Noah like we are now, right?” asked Lucian.

“You’re right… I think we can beat him like it” said Draco a bit worried of his self confidence.

“Then to the cave” said Lucian.

“But first a checkup” smiled Draco and the two pokémon went to the counter where nurse Joy was waiting.

Draco sat in the couch waiting and thinking. Was he actually that good like to defeat Noah just like that? He had too much problems against Sandra and only one fight type attack. What would be of him against a whole bunch of pokémon of that type. Lucian wouldn’t end up standing well after that and he didn’t want that, neither for him nor for Drake. Draco wanted to have them safe at any cost. But he knew battles were like that and pokémon ended up hurt after one.

“Your pokémon are perfectly healthy” said nurse Joy.

“Thanks” smiled Draco and looked at the shop that was closed “Do you know what time the shop will open again?”

“Oh! The attendant is sick so he closed it. But I’ve been running it from a couple of days. What do you need?”

“I’ll need some repel and rope, we are going to Wellspring cave” said Draco.

“You gotta be careful, because there have been reports of an unknown pokémon attacking the people” said nurse Joy “I guess it might be a guest of the cave since the usual pokémon that live there are calm and good in general.”

“Thanks for the warning nurse Joy we surely will take it in consideration” thanked Draco.

After nurse Joy filled their supplies and they took also some food, Draco, Drake and Lucian went out the pokémon center and entered the cave. Draco turned a flashlight on and illuminated the road. The scent in the air was humid and old but it wasn’t that bad; a bit musky maybe but not something that would drive them away. Drake was walking to Draco’s left side while Lucian did it on his right side.

“So, this cave will lead us to Clashton?” asked Lucian.

“It was supposed to” smiled Draco.

“Well…” Lucian took the map from Draco’s pocket.

“Hey what are you doing?” asked Draco surprised.

“Don’t get me started with Olmec City” said Lucian and Drake giggled.

“Ok, ok, I get it” said Draco admitting defeat.

Lucian took the lead and started to guide them down the path. Drake and Draco walked behind him and Draco was more than pleased to look at Lucian’s wiggling butt. And Drake seemed to notice it since he tail wiped the wolgon. Draco noticed he wasn’t being discrete and kept normal just walking behind Lucian. After fifteen minutes walking they noticed the noise of the famous spring that was said, according to the legends, to be the source of all the waters in Galian. Draco smiled at that.

“Hey guys! What you think if we eat something by the spring?” asked Draco smiling.

“Sounds like a god idea” nodded Lucian as Drake cheered for the idea of food.

The three walked down the way to where the spring was sounding. The idea of having a picnic there was exciting for Draco since according to the legends, a legendary pokémon was told to have its lair in the waters of said spring. Of course, the wolgon didn’t expected to find it but only being “that” close to said place was a huge emotion for him.

In the path, they were kicking small river stones smiling at the sound they did but suddenly a different noise caught their attention. It was a screaming with a pitch that Draco could recognize.

“Was that Katy?” asked Draco surprised.

“We might as well check it” hurried Lucian and the three ran to the spring.

Once they arrived, the first thing they could see was the lynx girl lying in the ground. It seemed like she had fallen and she was rubbing her ankle. The second thing they saw were their partners fainted in the ground. Apparently his Sprito had evolved into a Reptyst and the Taillow that Professor Darcy told him about. Also there was a Kadabra that was wounded and dragging his feet to Katy.

“Katy!” roared Draco running to her in a rush.

“Stay away Draco!” shouted Katy “It’s dangerous! It’s a Carracosta!”

“A what?” asked Draco and in answer he was impacted with a powerful hydropump that smashed him against a rocky wall.

“DRACO!” roared Lucian and ran to him followed by an absolutely terrified Drake.

The pokémon reached the wolgon and he pant a bit.

“I’m fine…” murmured Draco “Help them…”

Lucian nodded but Drake stood next to Draco just in case it was necessary to protect him. And indeed it was. The pokémon that just attacked the wolgon got close revealing a shiny Carracosta.

“C-Carracosta?” asked Draco with some difficulty and he aimed the pokedex at the pokémon.

“Carracosta, the proto tortoise pokémon. It’s said that Carracosta’s carapace is as hard as diamond and that even though it looks heave they can move somewhat fast on land and even faster on water”

“So this is the pokémon that’s been doing all the disturbing huh?” asked Lucian pulling Katy and her pokémon next to Draco.

“It seems like it” said Draco.

Carracosta attacked again and his hydropump impacted directly on Drake who shook his whole body. It was supposed to be super effective but being half dragon, Drake could endure better that kind of attacks.

“Drake use dragon rage!” ordered Draco and Drake obeyed sending a powerful dragon attack against the Carracosta.

But the pokémon hid into his carapace and the attack was absolutely ineffective. Drake looked at that jaw dropped to the ground and focused again. He shot again and again but Carracosta kept his stance into the carapace.

“It’s useless, his defense into that carapace is almost absolute” said Katy. And be careful, that Carracosta can use ice attacks…”

“Ice attacks?!” amazed Draco and then he turned his eyes to Carracosta. A pokémon that powerful in defense and also knowing ice attacks was worth the try. So the objective changed, now he wanted to capture him.

“Drake hold on! Lucian use psychic against Carracosta and lift him into the air!” ordered Draco.

Against his fight desires, Drake backed off and Lucian took the lead using his psychic powers against Carracosta lifting him into the air. The pokémon stick his head out looking at the ground unable to go there. He seemed afraid.

“Drake use dragon rage again!” ordered Draco and Drake smiled using his powers against Carracosta.

The tortoise pokémon hid but felt the attack since it impacted right into the opening of his head. Carracosta stick his head out again and Draco reordered a dragon rage. The scenario repeated and Lucian seemed to be getting tired.

“That won’t do it…” murmured Draco and then he smiled. He had an idea “Ok Drake that’s enough, Lucian spin Carracosta as fast as you can!”

Lucian nodded and started to spin the pokémon while Drake went next to Draco a bit ashamed to been defeated by that defense. Carracosta felt the spins one after another and finally Draco ordered Lucian to put down the pokémon into the ground. Lucian obeyed and Carracosta went out of his carapace dizzy and unable to walk straight until he fell to the ground.

“Great!” smiled Draco and expanded one of the four pokeballs he received from Professor Darcy. The others he bought were into the backpack “Pokeball, go!”

Draco toss the pokeball and hit Carracosta right over his forehead. The pokémon turned into a red energy and went into the pokeball that started to wiggle with a beeping sound as the button in the front flashed red. Finally the pokeball stopped and Carracosta were into it.

“Yay! My fist officially caught pokémon!” cheered Draco as he skipped in happiness to the pokeball “Oh God! Oh God!” he was squeaking in happiness.

“Is he like this always?” asked Firegon in his language to Lucian.

“You have no idea my friend” answered Lucian enjoying the show. He had always loved the way Draco acted so childish from time to time.

“Hey guys we have a new friend!” smiled Draco and the pokeball opened releasing Carracosta who was still dizzy “Ok pal, time to cure you!”

Draco took from his backpack some mint leaves and got the close to Carracosta’s nose. The pokémon reacted after a bit and was shocked to see the wolgon helping him. He jumped standing up and took fight stance.

“No, no… don’t attack” smiled Draco showing Carracosta the pokeball he used to capture him “See? Now you’ll be partner with us.”

“Draco I don’t think he might want that” said Lucian looking at Carracosta. The pokémon seemed to be annoyed due to the defeat.

“C’mon don’t be a sore loser” smiled Draco and got close to Carracosta extending his paw “Let’s be good friends.”

Carracosta hit his paw with the flipper and turned around.

“Eh? What’s going on?” Wondered Draco after that.

“Why don’t you check his level on your pokedex?” asked Katy still surrounded by her defeated pokémon and her Kadabra panting due to the fight.

“Ok… I will” nodded Draco and taking out his pokedex he aimed it Carracosta checking his level and surprisingly discovering that it was level 45 “What?! Carracosta is level 45?!”

“There’s your answer my friend” said Katy from her place “I presume you only have the Insight badge, am I right?”

“Yes you are…” said Draco.

“Then Carracosta will not listen to you until he’s aware of your worthiness as Trainer” said Katy trying to stand up.

Draco looked at Carracosta and he crossed his flippers in despise sign.

“Aww… not fair! Lucian is level 72 and he still hears me” moaned Draco.

“That’s because I’ve been with you since we were basically pups and you are a brother and more for me” said Lucian without thinking.

“More?” asked Katy and she misunderstood “Oh! You mean like brother AND father” she smiled and Lucian blushed under his fur.

“R-Right… like that” saved Lucian as Drake chuckled by the reaction.

“Well Draco, I have the bad news that you won’t be able to give a proper order to Carracosta until you earn the Praire Badge. Then he will recognize you as a worthy trainer.”

“Praire badge?!” roared Draco and his jaw drop to the floor “But that’s in Floralen Town!”

“Well, that or gain his trust via other methods” said Katy shrugging.

“I guess that will have to be” sighed Draco. He looked a Lucian “Could you at least ask him his name? He’s an adult pokémon so he must have one, not like you or Drake that I named you since you had no names.”

“Actually Drake’s name was Drake. He had one and you guessed it right” smiled Lucian as Drake nodded.

Lucian got close to Carracosta and started to whisper him so they had some privacy. The Lucario’s face turned blank after some answers of Carracosta and he returned then shaking his head next to Draco.

“And then?” asked Draco.

“He hates you” said Lucian “In more ways than you can imagine, quoting him” he sighed “But he conceded to give us his name. He’s name is Galapagus.”

“Well, at least I can call him by his name though he hates me…” sighed Draco “Ok Galapagus come back”

Galapagus returned to the pokeball and rested into it. Draco sighed and then he looked at Katy.

“Wanna have some food?” asked the wolgon.

“Thanks I’m starving” thanked Katy.

They got near the water and Lucian started to get things ready for the food. Draco treated Katy’s pokémon and after they were half cured, Lucian announced the food was ready. Lucian had learned how to cook seeing Draco and his mom doing that chore at home. And he wasn’t a bad chef, though he only knew how to prepare some sandwiches and easy foods. Draco smiled and thanked as he took a sandwich from Lucians paw who took the chance to rub the wolgon’s. both blushed and quickly recoiled resuming their activities. Lucian gave sandwiches to all the others and served pokémon food for the now healed pokémon that were partners of Katy.

“So, I heard from Professor Darcy that Noah won in your match” said Draco after finishing the meal.

“Yes, even with the help of Taillow we weren’t able to win” sighed Katy “But now I have the help of Kadabra. I captured him today and he seems to be good. We were training and that Carracosta attacked us”

“Well, though I don’t think Galapagus might say it I apologize for him” said Draco “Now that he’s in my party I feel responsible of his previous actions.”

“You know that’s not quite… necessary, right?” asked Katy smiling.

“I know, but I’d feel terrible since he attacked my friend” giggled Draco and Katy smiled wider.

“By the way, what pokémon are you planning to use against Noah?” asked Katy.

“Well, Lucian knows psychic type attacks and I received from Professor Darcy a technical machine containing aerial ace” said Draco and he noticed Drakes concern. He turned at the dragon and smiled “You still don’t want to learn that attack?”

Drake looked at Draco and he sneaked into his backpack and took the disk. He bitted it a bit and then smashed it. Of course, he didn’t wanted how to make it work.

“I’ll take that as ‘I want to learn’” said Draco smiling and noticed that Lucian nodded “But then again… I have no idea of how to make it work.”

“I’ll teach you” said Katy and she took the disc “Gimme your pokedex.”

Draco obeyed and gave Katy his pokedex. She opened a space in the back and entered the small disk into it. The name and stats of the attack appeared in the screen and she aimed at Drake who shivered a bit.

“Don’t worry Drake, it won’t hurt we just need to know what attack we have to replace for aerial ace ok?” said Katy and Lucian asked Drake.

“He says he doesn’t need to lower the attack of his opponent since he is strong enough to endure the hits” said Lucian “And he’s proud of it.”

“Hahaha that’s my friend” giggled Draco and Katy selected growl from the list. A thin beam of light went to Drake’s forehead and with a beep from the pokedex Drake leaned his head.

“Ok, now try it Draco, order Drake to use aerial ace” said Katy.

“You heard Drake, use aerial ace!” said Draco and Drake nodded.

The dragon pokémon lifted in the air and soared up. He gained speed and used the attack against some rocks making them burst into pieces.

“You see, when you teach them an attack via TM they learn it immediately, unlike when you ‘force’ them to learn it step by step” said Katy.

“Thanks Katy, this will come in handy since it looks like Galapagus won’t hear me” sighed Draco.

“Draco, still, Galapagus is a water/rock pokémon, he would lose against a fighting type pokémon” said Katy.

“I know it but I had the hope to have something to defeat Noah’s party easily” admitted Draco “I know Lucian and Drake are amazing, but… I don’t want them to be hurt.”

“It doesn’t matter” said Lucian “I personally enjoy the battles and I know it’s part of a fight to get hurt and I guess Drake know it too.”

“I know Lucian but still it makes me feel bad” said Draco.

They kept talking for a while. Katy talked to Draco about Noah’s strategy and the wolgon listened carefully. Apparently Noah liked to go all out with his pokémon and also he had the battles in a different terrain than the usual arena. He’s gym had a sand arena what made difficult the things for non flying pokémon. What made him think that the best way was either to use only a flying stance or use the terrain to his advantage.

Katy finished his explanations and Draco had already several strategies in mind. They picked up all the stuff from the picnic and kept them in the traveling pack of Draco. Katy said she needed to go back to Clashton so Draco said he’ll go along with her.

They walked to the exit leaded by Katy who still was walking with some difficulties due to her hurt ankle. Draco offered her some help but Katy denied it saying that she was strong and didn’t wanted to look like a damsel in distress. Draco laughed at the idea since Katy looked rougher than he, wearing her black thank top and scratched jeans with the work boots and the denim jacket. The two trainers walked to the exit and were received by a long grass patch that ended with the entrance of Clashton Village: a wooden wall that had its doors wide open for the visitors. The whole city seemed to be kinda Japanese medieval since their buildings were mainly made with wood and into that style. In the center, the Gym raised in all its magnificence as a gigantic dojo-like house.

“Welcome to Clashton Village” announced Katy and they entered going right to the pokémon center where Katy was staying and so Draco would since it was kinda late already.

“Go check your pokémon I’ll go to look for a room” said Draco and were followed by Lucian and Drake who were still healthy.

They walked the hall with the rooms and found the one that Katy was being using. Draco smiled and found an empty room just across the hall. He entered and left his baggage there. After that, they went down and waited till Katy’s pokémon were fully healed.

“So, tomorrow I’m planning to go for that badge” said Draco.

“I think I might need to train a bit more, but I’ll go there and cheer you up” smiled Katy “The way you defeated Galapagus… it was simply amazing. I think you might be able to defeat Noah in the first try.”

“Don’t say that” smiled Draco blushing “I’m not THAT good… my partners are good as well and are very powerful.”

“Any ways you have a good team there” smiled Katy “You know? I think you should rest well tonight, since tomorrow will be a hard battle against Noah.”

“I’ll take the advice” nodded Draco and went to his room followed by his partners.

Once they arrived Draco took his shirt off and rested on the bed looking at the window where he was able to see the Gym. Suddenly he felt Lucian’s soft paws rubbing his tummy.

“L-Lucian…” murmured Draco.

“Am I not allowed to?” asked Lucian.

“I-It’s not that…” blushed Draco “Someone might come and…” Draco was thinking in lots of excuses but he disposed them as fast as they came to be.

Draco took the lead, without noticing that Drake was in the room watching and grabbed Lucian’s head making it get closer to his. And then their lips met softly in their first kiss. For both of them. Lucian blushed furiously with that but kept the rubbing while Draco enjoyed the taste on Lucian’s maw. And after some minutes when Drake was more red than his own scales watching them, Draco and Lucian broke the kiss leaving a think string of saliva connecting their lips.

“D-does this mean…” started Lucian.

“That I love you… and that I accept your feelings for me and I hope you accept mine for you” said Draco “You did a nice save back there in the cave with Katy. But you know it’s not well seen for a trainer to be in love with his partner pokémon.”

“I know… but you still do” said Lucian.

“And I don’t regret it Lucian” said Draco holding Lucian’s paw “I love you… like you have no idea. I don’t care we are both males… I don’t care I’m a fur and you a pokémon. I love you and that’s all I need.”

“Thanks…” Lucian climbed to the bed and cuddled with Draco who answered in the same way.

Drake looked at them and blushed even more. He walked to the balcony and looked at the gym.

“We’ll be there tomorrow…” he thought “And I’ll win against whatever that Noah guy sends against me” he looked at Draco and Lucian again, they were kissing “Lucian won your heart… I wish it was me… but… I know you love me too. Maybe not in the same way but at least I would want to kiss you. Master Draco… I have feelings for you too. But I’m just too shy. I just wish I could talk like him so you can understand me.”
