While naturally I understand them not wanting to lose a good leader this makes me wonder if the chief is going to be pretty young, so not dying semi-naturally at an older age, or will have some 'greater purpose' than merely being their political leader. o.O One of those 'mystically entangled leaders' perhaps, where their untimely demise will upset things in ways that don't even bare thinking about rather than just the difficulty of getting a new chief.
