A flock of three birds made from needlecraft on plastic canvas. In front: a mountain bluebird and a pyrrhuloxia AKA desert cardinal. In back: Stellar's jay.
I also took three of the Dick Martin designs and "recolored" them to represent birds closely related to the originals. In the case of the Stellar's jay and the pyrrhuloxia, I also extended the crests slightly.
If I ever wanted to, I could possibly also make a Western bluebird (similar in pattern to the Eastern bluebird) as well as several finches related to the goldfinch, but I didn't want to burn out on birds or plastic canvas.
