Chapter 15: Who Needs Adam?
As many civilians were gearing up for a huge New Year Party Adam was showing Blaze some of the cool stuff the humans left behind in his world. Adam said "And this is the Nintendo 64 it and the Sony PlayStation 2 are the consoles to own and we have access to them all the time. I also heard rumors that Nintendo is planning on making another console in 2001 called The Game Cube. It could be a lot of fun."
Meanwhile in the Sonic Universe
Neko said "um guys Adam the Forsaken is gone from this Universe now."
Isaac said "I did not know the guy that well but I still do not forgive him for what happened in Covina and West Covina. As long as he lives no world is safe I must do something."
Kit Kit said "You are welcome to take him on but even a whole army could not hold a candle to his abilities it would be suicide!"
Kit Kat replied "what he said."
Neko said "hmmm tonight is New Years Eve Perhaps we should kick off the New Year with something special. A fireworks show may be enough but, since we are all feeling a bit edgy and probably looking for some excitement how about a tournament of sorts. We could hold one in a levitating stadium or perhaps have it move to various venues for each match."
Isaac said "Honestly I really want to kill Adam at this point for all the lives of innocents he has claimed how many more must die to that monster?"
Neko replied "I have a perfect plan. How about we hold a Tournament called The Forsaken Games?" The others seemed puzzled. Neko said "I mean since very few if any like Adam in this world maybe they would pay good money to watch him get his ass kicked by each of us!"
Isaac said "I like your idea so far..."
Kit Kit said "one problem though. Kit Kat and I are not good with direct combat so unless the tournament allowed us to fight outside of an Arena format where there are places to hide we would get annihilated quickly."
Kit Kat said dejectedly "yeah..."
Neko replied "Good point then what if the tournament took place in different environments so it is as fair as possible?" They all seemed to agree. Just then Robotnik and Eggman began attacking their respective enemies.
Robotnik yelled "With Adam out of the way the world is mine!"
Eggman shouted "Finally no longer must I fear that wretch!" The Freedom fighters took down Robotnik fairly easily and Sonic practically soloed Eggman in probably one of the most anti climactic battles ever. Both retreated to their lairs defeated again.
Miles Tails Prower said "I kind of feel sorry for Adam after this... he just wanted to live in peace."
Sonic shrugged and said "meh he seemed ok at first but I do not blame the humans for being scared of him after what they saw."
Knuckles said "Agreed I would not miss him either."
To keep this easy to follow the only ones who felt any kind of sympathy for Adam are the female characters Sally, Bunnie, and Vanilla anyone else was either indifferent or scared to death of him after what they saw. Cream had nightmares the other night and was very scared to be near him.
Isaac whined "Adam had parents who loved him. I barely got to know mine before they died. Even if he were in the same circumstances as me it does not give him the right to treat our world like we are his toys. This ends now!" Isaac Raced off for the portal to the other side.
Isaac shouted outside Adam Castle in Covina "ADAM YOU WILL ANSWER FOR YOUR CRIMES FOR COVINA FOR WEST COVINA AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHOM DIED TRYING TO DEFEND IT!"
Adam flew out his window using his two tails and onto his roof and yelled "I WILL ANSWER TO NO ONE LEAST OF ALL YOU! IF YOU ARE IN SUCH A HURRY TO DIE BE MY GUEST AND ENTER MY CASTLE OTHERWISE SHUT THE &#$% UP MY CHILDREN ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!" He went back into his castle.
Isaac thought for a moment "If I try to enter his castle his traps will kill me for sure... no one has ever survived it... but I have to kill him I have to!"
