Yori can't die
The role that "tough guys" strive for
Another art piece from prate-dragon, this time however...it's NOT showing Yori being a total failure! So like...Yori is a mage, I mean...he can use magic so he is technically a mage. And yes, he does indeed have magic that's fleshed out! That is quite good haha! Fun as it is too mess with him (which it is all true mind), Yori does actually have fairly effective support magic, that I rarely touch on. You'd think that having such good support magic would make him more useful, but that desire to be important and the center of attention, "no matter what," often takes precedence over actually helping in most scenarios.

Regardless of that fact, it's still good to actually touch on the fact that he CAN use magic every now and again haha. Greatest support mage that never actually helps in a fight. Yori is the squishy healer mascot that thinks he's a dps tank.

Love the rabbit like, curious question, is he inspired from Arcanists from Etrian Odyssey 4 and X(jp)/Nexus(us)?

So far the only game that i seen Circle Magic (support) , where can use spells that has a chance to Poison, Paralyze, Confuse, Sleep , Curse and Stun entire enemies, also can bind opponent's Head, Arms and Legs to prevent certain attack that involves that's body parts, for a certain amount of turns,

And can also dismiss the Spell ring to heal , revive or to damage opponents ,

They pretty helpful. but if Yori is that or close to that , how would Yori use em?

Yes actually~
Was a class I enjoyed a lot and loved the concept of, so I did use them as a base and altered it from there. The concept is still the same, but was altered to have more of an emphasis on support, along with more burst spells centered around removing the circles themselves.
He still performs much of the same function though.

Cres and Yori looks like those kind of optional party member in an old jrpg that you recruit, say "why bother with them" and after that find a YouTube video of them being really helpful in a post game bonus boss because you need to grind and have a great setup so they can shine. Plotwise Cres just need a good party that can support her but Yori must be the "Dark Souls of teammates" to be both useful and not having a party that will give up and just kick him...

Ironically enough, that's not far off. In thinking about the characters in an rpg party, which I have done a lot, Yori specifically is always a character that's balanced by having really crap stats, no offensive ability and being super fragile. But he is designed around never actually being kept in combat, while the circle spells themselves are actually extremely good. So he is indeed a character intended to looks like s--- on paper, but played well, and he ends up being the best support member in the game. It's made worse because he is a super late game recruit that starts at a significantly lower level.

For Cres however, I never really thought too much about her in an rpg setting. However her magic is very powerful, but also really weak offensively. Cres would definitely be a powerful healer/defense, but like Yori, very, very fragile.
